But I really am probably the only one who watches this. The first 3 weeks are absolutely fascinating. I love seeing people get humiliated. Nothing is better than when someone thinks they are outstanding and Simon just crushes them. I like it a lot more since they've allowed instruments.

Notes from the premier...

- Not hot on the new judge.

-The bikini chick was awesome and terrible. The interaction with her as well simon letting her through was filled with amazing and win.

- The blind guy: I thought his voice was good at best. It may get much better as he settles in behind a piano where he's more comfortable. I don't think they'll let him through because of fear of garnishing sympathy votes.

The lulz...The guy with the ridiculously deep voice. The guy who sang the cactus song. The kid who sang the Carrie Underwood songs and then had to have medical attention. There's more I'm probably forgetting. I didn't find any of the talent mind-blowing where I thought they'd set it off, although the chick that sang "Barracuda" was really damn decent.

I walked into the Bikini Girl. Stayed a few minutes. Walked out happy that I surely saw the best part of the episode.

I love american idol. Been watching since season 1! Called carrie's win at her audition too :P

I thought bikini girl was pretty damn sexy, however, I wish they considered her singing to be the factor that got her through, because, she wasnt that bad. I do think the cowgirl in pink should have went through also.

One thing about bikini girl (occupation: model), she wont be on the show much longer, as you know "pictures" are now going to surface on the internet of her.

Aside from her, blind guy will rock the show when he gets his piano, and the girl in white/black and the guy that sang boys to men are top 24 all the way.

I truly can't stand all the hype around American idol and all the talk this time of year for it. It has produced one great thing and that is Carrie Underwood. I could look at her all day long.

I hear they made it even shittier this year by cutting most of the shitty singers and just showing the good ones in the first few episodes.

After seeing last nights episode, I am getting a bit annoyed that they play related music to the audition after EVERY one! Oh and that its not just instrumental, but vocals too...that are louder than the people trying to talk.
