Music Friday: No idea but it is awesome

Hello! Let’s all tread together the treacherous path of the final day of the work week joined by some great music!

Raise your hand whoever figured out this was gonna be this week's MF! I have been praising this theme for a while on Twitter, and for good reason - from all of the tracks in the (so far) fantastic soundtrack in Final Fantasy XIV's first expansion, Heavensward, this is the one that really caught my ears.

Warning: The video above is a SPOILER for the final boss of the first dungeon you'll find in the expansion. It shows the complete fight so if you want to avoid that be sure to avoid the video and stick with the audio.

HW's first dungeons (I've done 3) end with bosses that take a lot of punishment (or I am just not overgeared anymore) and sport some very cool mechanics, making them really feel like a challenge. Accompanying these is this new theme, that doesn't only include select notes from other HW's main themes, but even throws in a loop transition reminiscent of old Final Fantasies battle themes. It's a heroic, grand, powerful theme that goes very well with the battles we face.

Unlike my friends in the FC, I've chosen not to level while using voice chat programs. Not only are there spoilers or spoilerish questions (as a lot of FC members are already at max level and attempting EX Primals), but I also want to enjoy the leveling experience together with the soundtrack SOKEN has prepared for us - and so far it is an outstanding soundtrack, not only worthy of FFXIV but also of the FF name.

Game on!

Don't mind dying if it means more loops!
