Music Friday: Evil Forest

Hello! Let’s all tread together the treacherous path of the final day of the work week joined by some great music!

Birth of a Forsaken

A few days ago I reactivated my Word of Warcraft account using in-game gold (fantastic system and idea) with plans to play with it every now and then. Yesterday I went even further: I logged with my Forsaken Rogue and spent all my "old" gold in buying two WoW Tokens from the Orgrimmar AH. As it stands I have three months of WoW game time. I decided to leave my Rogue and try a crazy thing: begin a new Forsaken Rogue.

One of the best parts of my original WoW experience was the setting and music of the Forsaken starter zones: Tirisfal and Silverpine. The themes are a fantastic mix of creepy and unsettling, perfect for the atmosphere of once lush forests that now house Azeroth's undead race.

I still remember vividly: the moon shining through the tall trees of Silverpine, the eponymous lake and the fort in the island, the shores on the north of Brill, the creepy beauty of the Undercity. It's the sort of things that make WoW such an unforgettable experience.

I don't know if I'll play this character often, or at all - I am still busy in FFXIV - but it'll be fun to see the sights one more time; even if the systems are showing their age.

Game on!
