Hello! Let’s all tread together the treacherous path of the final day of the work week joined by some great music!

Choices

As I sit here in my office waiting for the clock to reach 17:30 I ponder which song is more appropriate for this week. Do I go with the song featured in Metal Gear Solid V's launch trailer or do I go for the version of Answers featured in the area for the Rising event in Final Fantasy XIV?

Then this happens:

What the creator of the above video did was probably take the audio out of the trailer and added a simple yet effective image. I do not care. The theme itself is pretty amazing. I think the first time we ever heard this theme it was in the Phantom Pain's reveal trailer (not the Moby Dick one, the official one) but it had no lyrics and I think it was sung by Donna Burke.

Choosing the softer voice of Stefanie Joosten (Quiet's actual actress) with such melancholic lyrics perfectly fit the remembrance that goes on in the launch trailer. And, like any Kojima-made trailer it serves to greatly increase the hype, which with today's arrival has reached simply-not-containable levels.

Game on!
