I think the issue here is that this is a problem with a scattered minority of players. The item recovery feature is a great way to universally help recover any recently junked items. But I doubt anyone above GM or customer support has been aware this was a problem with getting hacked and either passing the time limit or what have you. (Honestly I wasn't aware many people had this problem, were many of you?) Hacking has died off a lot since the security tokens, but there's still probably a handful of players who have similar issues.

It would be great if they could implement a really simple way to reobtain them without going through a GM. Like, the game checks to see if you've completed the quest, then you can hand in some kind of item to a target and receive a new quest reward. Trade a new Brown Belt to the Neptune's Spire door, or trade the base Dynamis weapon to the last Relic upgrade target, or something.

And for sure, there are lots of other rare/ex quested items, but I think relics and BB are probably all anyone cares about. I doubt anyone is wounded they can't get a new Minstel's Dagger.

If they wanted to do an easy fix to this, they'd just make the CSs and title changes for these R/Ex items attempt to give you the item every time you rewatch it. Their normal "you can't have two of this item" check would stop people from getting multiple R/Ex, and they'd never have to answer another GM call about bitchy girlfriends dropping Black Belts / G-horns.

Stupid questions, but why the fuck don't relic quests give you titles upon completion? Also, do relic quests show up in your quest log?

Since they have to check the logs (usually, at least) wouldn't a GM, SGM or LGM or whatever be able to have you view the cutscene and then view the cutscene text that get put into your log right there?

I gather you've probably thought of this already, but whenever the SGM contacts you, as you were told they would, offer to run your butt to VoS and view the CS for proof that you've completed it in your logs. Hell, if I was you I'd probably sit in front of it all day while waiting. And then start the CS while the SGM is talking to you.

Regardless, good luck to you on BB and horn, and a super awesome grats to Chaz. Those screenies were truly legendary.

What really should happen is a change to the relic markers/Seaprince's Tombstone where in the case a relic or mythic was dropped, a simple click of the point where you obtained the item will allow the player to "find" it lying there where they can retrieve it.
