normal HoR isn't exactly the scariest place in the game...
25man KT for a 226 shield, seeing as you can skip right past the four wings now. I used the royal crest fine in 25m toc though.
It's not a question of scary, it's just that I really dislike it. Heroic is fairly rough if the healer or tank is an idiot (I'm not discounting the possibility that I'm dumber than I realize). Normal has a different problem in that only certain people queue for normal dungeons and they're often about as reliable as a chocolate deadbolt on a fallout shelter.
to be fair, reg. HoR isn't that much of a step up from reg. PoS, and nobody's going to enter HoR who hasn't cleared PoS, so the selection of people isn't that horrible. Gotta learn to group with substandard people someday, I'm surprised you don't have a tolerance for it by now.
I never had a tolerance for it. I'll forgive someone not knowing the instance, especially if they say so up front. I'll forgive someone being a bit undergeared. But, for instance, the past two healers I've gotten... Shamans who cast Healing Wave and Druids who cast Healing Touch just make my blood boil, especially when it results in multiple wipes. I'm not very kind to healers, being that I play one myself. When it comes to complexity, the laundry list of healing spells at a Priest's disposal trumps the hell out of Chain Heal and Riptide, so figure it out, dumbasses.
Gulk, should my girlfriends MM hunter be fully gemming AP like you?
Flagship ICC got a nice one. Thats where mine is from. I've seen it drop twice in 4 runs.

Dunno why it wasnt mentionned, or am I missing something?
I'm not really planning to raid and I was looking for something that would, at bare minimum, be a stepping stone between iLevel 200 (or 219, if I spam normal HoR) and iLevel 251. Of course, since I'm really not planning to raid, just leveled this guy up to collect Frost Emblems and as a distraction, I don't really need a higher level shield, either. I just thought it weird that I can't get a 232 one from Heroic Frozen Halls or something.
Even though you don't intend to raid, there is a relatively easy shield to get if you do toc10 from Anub'Arak and I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to get a PuG for it.
I have a question relating to Rotface encounter (10man). I am our OT for it being a prot paladin and all and I notice that the big ooze really likes to zig-zag towards me. For example when it is at 2 o'clock and I run towards 5 o'clock it will first path right into the raid (or close to) before heading my way again. What gives?
Also what do you guys do when the section you are heading to gets flooded with ooze and you end up pinned between a big ooze who would hit you for 14-20k each time or a flooded section which does around 4-6k damage per second (I think). If I run around the flooded section I pull the big ooze right through the raid so that no option either.
Run through the slime section, it sucks but its not that bad, easily heal-able.
Getting Melee'd by it or dragging it through the group are the worst case scenario's, avoid at all costs.
Auriaya in Uld10 drops a decent tank shield too.. only 219 but has a socket so yeah <_>
No one on Mal'ganis does Naxxramas unless it's the weekly raid and Ulduar is generally done exclusively for Hard Modes and, because the server is insane, the twits running the raids insist that you already have the Hard Mode achievements before you can join. I'll probably do HoR a few times and maybe try to sneak into ToC10 at some point. I actually like the look of the Royal Crest, anyhow.
For Prot Warrior trinkets, what should I shoot for in terms of pre-raiding options? I was thinking Glyph of Indomitability (or whatever the Triumph Emblem armor trinket is) and the Black Heart (if I ever get it to drop). I've got Essence of Gossamer right now, though, and was thinking that a straight 140 damage reduction might be as good as the Black Heart, anyhow, and the Stamina difference is not terribly wide. The only difference seems to be that EoG procs substantially less often, so I'm guessing that the nominal reduction in spell damage is still inferior to the huge chunk of Armor from BH.
Black Heart is vastly superior to essence.
Glyph in other spot for physical fights, essence for stuff like Maly.
And it really shouldn't be that hard to get people to do 25m KT, it's like 15 minutes total now.
Of course, half the people that want to go will be for shield lol.
Well it can in the sense that you could have 93.5% (numbers chosen at random) crit chance with raid buffs/debuffs but only 89.3% chance to hit, but the extra crit won't magically create hits where there can't be, I believe it got figured out because of issues with crit capping when agi > AP to gem for and you get retardedly high % crit chances after all raid buffs
Sup? GF reporting in.

Shitty cape aside (bad luck), I've been checking other MM hunters and for a bit now I've seen them regem to armor pen. With the new bow I've been at least top 5 dps in everything I've been doing (if not #1! depending on movement), and I think I can be higher on some fights if I gemmed armor pen, and get my second piece of t10 etc. I only have bits of doubt because I don't want to spend 1500 gold on gemming to find out it didn't really do anything for me... Are my assumptions correct?
I also have a question about my belt http://www.wowarmory.com/item-info.xml?i=50995 : I've seen people pick the mail version of the 264 from frost emblems... why? This one has armor pen and from stats it just looks better =o...
Apologies in advance if they're kind of nooby questions... MM hunter is my first 80![]()

It doesn't take long to set up and it can answer all your questions regarding gearing/gemming.
Thank you x2!
