I dunno... now that I am looking at it.. as much as I love Anthony Hopkins, I don't think he was the best choice for Odin.. Maybe Liam Neeson? Dunno

Nah, not even Neeson. Kris Kirstofferson might make a good Odin, maybe. He played a pretty good "gruff father figure" as Whistler. Maybe the fella that played Hagrid.

Anthony Stewart Head maybe? he was good in Repo. he actually reminded me of Hopkins' Hannibal a bit

Head's turn in Repo! still felt clean-cut to me. He was savage, but in a "Jekyll and Hyde" sort of way. He had a sort of silent menace that I don't really identify with Odin.

When I think of Odin, I think of this tough, mean, not-quiet, lumberjack-lookin' motherfucker that just happens to be the father and leader of a pantheon of gods. Hopkins, Neeson, and Head just seem a little too... refined (for want of a better term), to fit the part.
