FFXIV player base seems to be older then XI at the start. Imagine when we will quit XIV.

I started 11 accidentally when i was 13 or 14(or hell, maybe even 12 now that i think about it, I remember i was in 6th grade, which was 6 years ago), I was really into SOCOM way back then and bought the hard drive because supposedly it was supposed to do awesome things that I can't remember(but probably didn't), then just decided to try 11 since it came with it and got hooked
18 now, don't really play any mmos atm but probably going to play 14

went to FF11 at 17ish

moved onto WoW at 20ish and now I'm 22 almost 23.

Was 21 when I got FFXI (January 04).
I am 28 now.

I have taken a total of 2 years of breaks from FFXI through the years. I think I'll give FFXIV a good year to wow me, if not, then I'll have to see the state of FFXI in 2011!
