I'm an idiot. I didn't know the server came back up yesterday. I was sitting around yesterday night bored as shit when little did I know I could have been playing more.

The ijkl controls for moving the camera are asstastic, if you got used to it I envy you. It got to the point where I used the mouse to pan the camera around and it works but it's hard to describe. It's pretty much every bit as terrible as trying to use mouse to move the camera in FFXI. I'm going to go buy a cable and try to use my 360 controller next beta. As it stands there's almost no reason to try to suffer through the keyboard controls at this point since there's no shortcuts.
Also, is there a command to start typing in chat? The only thing I found was "/" and then you have to delete the god damn "/" from the chatline before you start typing. Just typing or hitting enter doesn't work. I will also say this, for a next gen MMO the UI/Controls are nowhere near as intuitive as you would expect. I was really hoping for an updated FFXI with a control scheme similar to WoW or basically any other recent MMO released. Controllers are great but it would be great if they didn't completely forget about players that like mouse/keyboard too.
Is there any way to change the camera angle keys? I want it to be like FFXI with the left, right,up,down arrows not what it is currently (JUN, somewhere near those keys..).
The camera controls were completely fucked and backwards from FFXI.
Hitting space bar works I think. Also, is there a command to start typing in chat? The only thing I found was "/" and then you have to delete the god damn "/" from the chatline before you start typing.

Oh, thanks guys.
Camera didn't seem that bad to me, when I figured how to use "lock target" camera mode thing, which was pretty awesome.
Btw... dex and str don't seem to affect damage/accuracy/crit much? just the physical seemed too do it...?
I got like physical lvl 11 and punching dig mole/rat moles or whatever near the starting area crystal for like 50 x2
What does it look like when someone is fighting monsters for their own guildleve? Can you see the guildleve monsters but just not attack them?
Yeah. Kind of annoying when you can't tell if it's a guildleve monster though, but it's nice to not have to worry about someone else stealing your mob(s).
The guildleve mobs wont spawn until the person with the guildleve gets near the area. If someone else tries to attack the guildleve mob it will say something about you not being on that guildleve.
But for some reason no mobs have their name color change when engaged by someone else.
Well I got beta inv but my 3 year old PC can't run it
Thanks for the responses guys. I'm assuming multiple people can do a guild leve at the same time right? Have you seen instances where there are dozens of monsters running about and you can't attack any of them?
Another question: Do you still see the issue that was prevalent in FFXI where you're running half a centimeter behind a monster but since its moving away from you you still can't hit it until it stops or turns? (Or you unlock your target and run through them).
