I guess specifically how did you make that bar at the bottom with the date/FPS/buttons ect?

It's a black rectangle set to 75% alpha made in kgPanels, on top of it I just placed elements from SLDataText which has a load of stuff you can show as well as the stuff I have on my screen.

The buttons are 1 Bartender4 bar (I have 2 others that are hidden) and TotemTimers for the totem timers and weapon imbue timer. The bars are skinned with ButtonFacade, with the Onyx Redux skin, and are also set to 75% alpha and 50% gloss.

The font I've used is called Emblem and comes with the ArkInventory addon (only reason I have it installed).

I'm only running in 1280x1024, I just have my UI scale turned way down, it's in your video options.

Anyone use an addon like FloatingFrames? It basically lets you drag your windows (i.e. Character, Inspect, LFG, Profession, etc.) around the screen. I have FloatingFrames installed but it fails for the new PVP frame and it just shows up like this:

For me personally, the difference between a nice looking UI and a beautiful UI is creative use of kgPanels. It's this which has always held me back from really trying to create something I truly enjoy looking at every day. Try as I might, I cannot come close to figuring out how some of the screenshots I see have panels looking so great. I've even tried following pointers that I've googled and it still never comes out right.

Quixotic surely you don't need those HUGE action bar buttons, especially for leveling!

The thing i dont get about people UI is they always forget the font. Theres so many great fonts out there and wow had (when i played anyways) no limit to what font you could use.

I like the layout man, looks very efficient. I personally can't stand 'floating' text without a solid background though, if you know what I mean.
