Unremarkable other than trying and failing to MPK my LS numerous times in the past.
Only know him from BG, but he's 100% awesome in that regard.
I can't speak in regards to his attempted MPKs, as I've no knowledge of them, but I can say I've never heard him mention them to me.
I can, however, speak in regard to Dontkare's ability as a player, and his attitude as a person, quite favorably.
When Dontkare originally joined our Dynamis shell, Kazoku, he seemed at the time acceptable, though unremarkable. His attendance was good, he followed orders well, and he never complained. As time went on, he joined our Limbus, Sky, and other events, and became more vocal in the linkshell. He started getting into Vent and offering ideas on how to have events run more smoothly. He was showing potential to become an officer, and so we began to push him to play at higher levels. which he proved more then capable of doing.
As a player, I have personally witnessed Dontkare performing well in many different roles. We've had him run Salvage runs, Sky, Dynamis, Einherjar, Limbus, and other events, and he's well-versed both in following orders to the letter, and in leading anywhere from 1 to 30+ other people. He's comfortable soloing and low-manning on any of his jobs, as appropriate, and is always willing to put new ideas to the test. He thinks quickly on his feet, and even in situations where things are going poorly or it's incredibly close, he tends to keep his head very well. I can't attest to his experience in HNMs, admittedly, because we never did any of them together, which makes me question the above claim of his attempted MPKs; this isn't an attempt to cast doubt on Ellatrix's claims, or start an argument, I'm simply speaking from my knowledge of Dontkare. I do know, however, that he KNOWS the appropriate ways of fighting different HNM-level mobs, and will easily perform to your standards. He's always the type to try new things, and never hesitates to help out, whether it's "Hey, let's try to kill this NM that normally takes 5-6 people with 2.", or "Hey, come help me break my latent/camp this mob/count every grain of sand in Valkurm Dunes." or something similarly tedious. He's always looking to help himself and others improve; he can work alongside someone and give suggestions, or call someone out on blatant under-performance, as required.
As a person, Dontkare has a fantastic attitude. I've been off of FFXI for about 6 months, and I still talk to Dontkare almost every day; he's one of the only people aside from real-life friends that I still talk to from the game. He's almost always in a good mood, and even in shitty situations he's one to laugh and joke. He's knowledgeable, and willing to learn new things. His attendance is great; we played together for over a year, and I could count the number of times he's been absent without notice on one hand. Aside from work/school, he's almost always available to be on at a moment's notice.
In my opinion, Dontkare will prove himself a valuable member to your linkshell. His dedication to our shell, even at its lowest moments (of which there were many), was fantastic, and he strove to improve himself and the people around him constantly. I believe that a few members of your shell can attest to the backwoods nature of Fenrir; I believe his gearsets are still admirable for someone who's never been to another server, hasn't been around since the beginning of the game, and never had the benefit of a shell the caliber of Excellence. (Far from it, actually, our shell was pretty embarrassing in hindsight.) As much weight as my word has, I can vouch completely for Dontkare.
(And hey, he's got a Behemor avatar too, that's gotta count for something, right?)
I have a feeling he's not very opinionated
Nice guy, good player, good gear. He'd be an asset to your shell.
EDIT: Concerning the information below, my experiences with him are outside Lagsave and in a more casual environment. Can't speak for the situations being posted.
Looks impatient

From what I've heard he complains about gear, starts drama, is a subpar player, and only tries when an ls sac is on or can benefit from it
When you applied for college, did you only apply to the one you really wanted? Or did you have back ups as well...
honestly never saw what the issue was with applying to more than 1 shell at once, people apply for more than 1 job at a time and that's more srs than a ffxi LS. idgi tbh
cry moar, etc
I have to say this, the reason the Omen app was posted privately, is because to get into Omen, or to even apply, you have to PM the application. It is by invitation only, and posting publicly will only gain you access to dynamis or einherjar![]()
well that makes this thread less fun, why is a dying ls no longer have an application section
for the direct quotes btw:

Let me break down what I've learned about Dontkare this past 3-4 months that he'd been in my social LS and salvage LS.
Skill-wise:
Dontkare is an ok RDM and BLM. Nothing spectacular or above and beyond, but decent. His gear as I understood was average. He had nashira feet, but no other pieces, no morrigan's (though he believe he was very close to 4/5 morrigan's and ONLY NEEDED 35s). He managed to get rdm hat, body, and a. body before quitting and coming back. He certainly had enough gear to solo a lot of things in game, he just made no effort to. From farming Euvhi organs to T1 VNMs, he always asked for help instead of attempting them himself.
Had ZERO idea how to make gil. His big funds when he returned consisted of selling his Osode (which he used to TP in for MNK) and Hagun ENM with his friend. Any other gil he got was from the LS selling Homam and splitting the gil or random shit ANNMs we decided to do.
Acted like a hot shot in salvage when no sacks were leading, disobeying my orders and costing the run (didn't know Archaic Machinery aggroed magic).
Is way behind on WotG missions and campaign ranks. If you're looking for people to help you out on Walk of Echoes, it'll take him quite a while to catch up.
Attitude-wise:
Dontkare was a manipulator, the most annoying person I've been in a linkshell with, constant complainer. Immediately after coming back left the LS that had gotten him the gear he had up to that point and would shit talk them constantly.
On more than one occasion he would try and play the sackholders against each other. Has tried to convince other members of the shell to get rid of me when I hadn't been online. Very nosey. Always butts in others' conversations and business to try and aggrevate the situation if it will help him.
Very quick to point fingers at others. Constantly calls people out, with no real useful advice on how they can improve, but just to be a douche. A general asshole.
Acted as if the LS owed him. Would always say that the LS wasn't doing enough to make us (read: him) more gil. Whenever left out of things like ANNM or MMM where there's a limit of people, he would QQ.
Does not handle being called out well at all. Messed up on an MMM run and someone called him out, so he homepointed and ruined the run and emo logged.
I've no doubt he applied to Excellence for his love of all that is Sath.
tl;dr Will probably shut up for a while until he's gained some gear/gil and power in the LS, then will play sackholders against each other. He knew me for less than a month and he was trying to get my friends to get rid of me.
To be fair, not only did YOU shit-talk the same shell (that you were in for a pretty fair period of time), but I will shit-talk the shell as well, and I was one of the shell leaders for almost 2 years. There were a tremendous amount of things wrong with the shell.
You were an argumentative, opinionated douchebag that he had several months of experience with from the previous shell. Don't try to lie about how long he knew you.He knew me for less than a month and he was trying to get my friends to get rid of me.
dontkare was an asshole who liked to talk shit
when i played he sucked
Mazmaz appears to have some affection for the applicant. So much so that he has a signature dedicated to him.
Tell me, Mazmaz, how many times did you refresh the application forum before becoming delighted at the newest threads possible to reply to?
Personally only experience I have with him is on BG but has a pretty good personality and a good sense of humor.
Based solely on BG and some PMs so maybe not all that useful:
(1) Seems like a nice guy, but admittedly don't know him well, even on forums.
(2) Interested and well-versed in solo/lowman stuff
(3) Has the common sense not to engage in shit-talk with someone that's hating on him in his own BC.
Whether he's some kind of "manipulator" in game I don't know. This is just my impression of him from BG.
Speaking of common sense - if you want to give critical advice about someone in their BC, don't have him in your sig lol. Lose all credibility, even if you are right.
