used Hezzel Files. extracted theyre about 980meg's checked files. installed them, works. thank you BG.

Choose yes to override existing files, everything is already presorted into the correct folders.

Thanks, but still not working for me. Although it did knock my download to only needing 12 files, it gets stuck at the first file, "patch.txt".

WTF is patch.txt and who has that file?

12 files is likely UI/dat mods, the error is just from it checking version now.... basically have to deal with POL for the rest of it.

Only file my update still needs after using this is FTABLE.DAT. However, I'm back to timing out (1160 error) so just gonna keep clicking retry till I get that damn file.

Download "DOESN'T WORK" and move the non folder items Patch.txt is in there. This worked for me

Is FTABLE.DAT in the doesn't work zip file? Downloading it now while trying to get POL to pull it.

Edit: It is in the doesn't work file. I am waiting on POL to confirm that it works now.

Since the other thread got locked:

After I extracted the files and put them where they needed to go, I clicked on Check Verson; I got a POL-1160 error and I got D:ToolsEU/Final_Fantasy_XI_Config.exe right underneath it. Anyone know how I can fix this?

edit: Seems like I'm missing just this one. Anyone able to PM me a link to where I can d/l it at?

When you download the patch, extract the files to C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI.

Which did you use Marcicus? I removed toolseu and user folders from my torrent mostly because i thought they were useless. If you need that file ic an upload it for you specifically here. (i think)
