Ok, what's the scoop on this stuff? How do you get it? What activates the latent? Yadda yadda...

I'd be severely disappointed if the latent was activated by a low skill level... but on the other hand, I can't imagine a Veteran wearing something called "trainee's". Thoughts?

And the check your messages thing is a bit old/overused

The trainee gloves are from an easy quest in Present day Southern Sandy. Trade a Ladybug wing to the Female elvaan by the fountain.

Summary: ...((axed for boringness)) He wants some fancy food that he doesn't think anyone in Windy can make anymore.
Ideas: Tried trading him all the food I had on me (3 types of sushi, meatkabobs, carbonara). Nothing. Like the last, this is really vague. Cheesy French accent Taru ftw!

Items required: Bastor Sweeper(fished somewhere), stick of pepperoni(recipe), walnut(?), and dragon fruit(?)

Still no word on what triggers the latent. Isn't this something that could be dat-mined?

Please, someone with higher bonecraft test this as well. Someone with 60 cap bonecraft should be able to synth a level 76 item http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/1257. Then if a level 80ish could test this, it would be greatly appreciated.

It just occurred to me... perhaps the latent is always active when you're in the past? Linsivi, was your testing in the past or the present?

I'd assume since the only way to get nq support would be in the present at least some of the tests were there.

I was in present windy and whitegate the entire time. >.>

I'm pretty sure the latent is not having that specified crafts support on.
