Coral on my mind levequest for GSM is level 40.
Near-complete DoH leve list, if you haven't looked yet. Triple reward leves noted.
Ah, yeah my bad. Both the ones I listed are from Gridania but I gave the area you have to unlock to do them / where you need to go.
Lvl. 35 Armourer levequest at the Observatorium south of Camp Dragonhead. Skillet to the Stars - Steel Frying Pan. 63k or so for HQ.
Steel frying pan uses a single steel sheet, so by this level it's fairly easy to HQ and cheap to make, as the only other ingredient is Oak Lumber. At lvl 45 ARM I just made 8 HQ frying pans in a row (lowest chance of HQ was 89%) and got an easy level.
Goldsmithing Lv.40.
Whitebrim Front.
If you've got it Flaunt it.
Requires 3 Peridot Earrings. Can do x3 per leve
3 HQ earrings gives 96,147 EXP per turn in for a total of 288,441.
Pretty simple syn
Just did 39-42 on the lv.35 leve "Hollow Hallmarks" -- 1 HQ Mythril Ingot for ~65,000xp
Mining is boring as fuck so I went ahead and bought 45 HQ mythril ores. Turned that into about 14 HQ mythril ingots and turned that into about 900,000xp, 12K in gil (basically paying for the HQ ores), ~100 ice shards and ~30 mythril ores.
He has his Quartz isn't offered to me, and I am lvl 35 GSM, what am I missing.
Lv.40 Carpenter / The Arsenal of Theocracy / Accept in Gridania, hand in Whitebrim Front
Cobalt Halberd x1
127,203 exp for HQ
Carpenter 45
Gridania -> Gridania
5x Mahogany Lumber
26543 exp
Triple*
Holy shit was that a good leve.
Alchemy/LV10
Morning glass of Ether/Eustace/Adv Guild (Uldah)
Ether3x/Deliver to Roarich
3.87k
Actually disliked this one, and the previous lumber one. I don't think they're worth doing, I mean I did buy all the cheap mahogany lumbers HQ I could find on the market and turned that in for "free" xp, but in terms of crafting it meh.
While making lumber goes faster than making full items, since you need 15lumbers vs 9 items, in terms of time spent it's about the same. However my HQ rate on 40d items is a lot lower than on 70/80d items, like say I'd HQ maybe 50-60% of mahogany(and only because it's lower lvl), but I can reliably HQ 95% of a full item even using macros and not actually camping tricks of trade procs or excelent. That means I'd need almost twice as long to make HQ lumbers to turn in than a regular triple turn in leve.
Add to that that because it's Mahogany and not Rosewood, it rewards less xp(26.5k compared to the 34k of the 45 Mor Dhona triple turn in leve) that means you need more leve allowance and even more time to get the same xp.
Completely not worth it in my opinion, after buying off the market lumbers, I just bought a few jadeites, spoken bloods and made jade crooks for the Mor Dhona turn in, I was done in a few minutes worth of crafting because it's so easy to HQ higher durability items, the crafts gave more xp because the recipe is higher level and the additional cost is reimbursed by the higher gold gain of the leve, while costing a lot less leves.
Only upside to mahogany lumber leve is I got lucky and one of them had Bloody Lance as a reward, which is worth 10-12k on my server atm, I got 3 of them since it was a triple turn in, good money. Granted it could have popped on the Mor Dhona one instead, but since you do less leves there's less chances to get it.
