Female FFXI players needed for research study

Hello. My name is Peter Chan and I am a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Alliant International University – California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco, CA. I am currently conducting a study for my doctoral dissertation on the gender swapping experience of Final Fantasy XI (FFXI) players. I am looking for female participants who would be willing to volunteer about two hours of their time to help me with my research. Participation will involve an in-person or over-the-phone interview (depending on where you live), and a completion of a short paper-and-pencil rating scale. The interview will take approximately 90 minutes and the rating scale will take about 15 minutes to complete. To participate in the study you must:

- be at least 18 years old.
- have at least 2 years of experience playing FFXI
- have a main character who is the other sex from your own.

I knew of one on Fairy. I think you should change the subject to males playing female characters. That would give you a million times more people to help with the study.

I used to know of a couple of women who played male characters but I think they've long-since quit. While my alt is a male character and I play it a lot - my main's female, the alt I just acquired, not as some gender-swapping masterplan.

In my old old old old oldschool endgame ls, our main PLD, who was a male elf, and I think almost everyone thought he was a guy (or at least I did), was actually a girl pretending to be a guy <_>

they do not need to be a current player as long as they've played a minimum of 2 years with at least 1 year of playing a main character of the opposite sex.

actually...i think hezzel (who posts here)'s wife still plays a male elf. i used to own her in subligar competitions all the time
