    Using a windows 7 upgrade

Hi all, currently running windows XP, got a nasty rootkit that no matter what I do won't go away (tried combofix, malware bytes, superantispyware) none worked, infact combofix made it so when I boot into safemode it bluescreens now...

Long story short, I plan to format. I have the following CDs that came with my laptop

    Windows XP disc
    Windows Vista (business)
Windows 7 upgrade (Windows vista business to windows 7)
    Dell windows 7 upgrade assistant

Should I go with a full install of vista, then run the upgrade assistant followed by the windows 7 upgrade disc, or are there any shortcuts etc to just installing straight to windows 7? Thanks much in advance.

Download the .iso you want. Burn it to a DVD. Boot your computer off of it. Choose the reformat option and to install Windows 7. Purchase a Windows 7 key or use Windows Loader to authenticate it.
