Dads PC won't turn on. Mobo lights up. PSU or Mobo?

I'm at work now and won't be home to look at it till 5.

Basically he said it won't turn on, I tried the power switch and nothing turns at all, not even a fan. PSU is on, and Mobo does have some power since some lights are on. I didn't get to inspect it any further than that.

My mom said there was a power surge the other day, and the computers did lose power, so it is probably related. It is plugged into a surge protector.

Im hoping it's not the motherboard. Thoughts?

It was the PSU, lol. Nothing did turn on, no fans nothing, but the Mobo did have its CMOS light and a power/reset light on, no normal LEDs that signify a good boot.

Had a older PSU in the basement, as well as an 8800gt and I plugged them both in and it ended up working. Had to put the 8800gt in it too cause the ATI card that was in the system required 2 6pins and I only had one coming off this PSU.

    Everything works now, yay.

The Mobo is always easiest to test (and cheapest!). Always keep a spare around. Can pick them up for $20~ or so if you look for them on sale. (cheaper with rebates).
