if they are expanding on the job system, like they said they are, for just one single DLC.... that's a lot of effort unless they are potentially planning to carry the idea over to 13-3. On the other hand it can just be an excuse to make Lightning extremely OP since the current system is extremely limiting from a monster perspective

Another rumor is that Lightning as a party member/monster will be a COM and the only monster in the game able to break the 99999 cap. I honestly don't see the point unless they're planning to release more superbosses later on.

There's another rumor that there will be a 3rd Lightning member/monster later on in the year, that way you can have Lightning in your party 24/7. If that doesn't satisfy your appetite, a month after that SE will make it possible for you to have all your characters be Lightning. Lightning's swimsuit will retail for $4.99 per character.

We didn't have to predict anything, the devs said they wouldn't be extending the ending via DLC, just explaining what happens in the background.

so I am about to start the other endings; how hard are they? I dont have a rav pet ~_~ I started to buff my new one(sorta used my main rav pet to infuse lol) and its not up to par really yet. My group tho has all but one roll maxed out both with 5000~/7000~HP

I feel I should be good but feel I should ask for some of the stronger monsters. Iv killed the long gui, thats as hard of a fight that I have done so far.

I had a shitty Circuitron (bomb) RAV pet for a long time (Friendly Fire is nice and I could never catch a Cloudburst), until I could finally farm up Lightning... and I haven't looked back since I got her.

Other endings are mostly really easy. The only tough ones were the Serah and Noel solo fights. Noel is totally solo, so your pets don't matter at all. Serah gets the benefit of one pet, and having a RAV pet isn't that big a deal there as long as you have a COM like Chichu to just mow through the fight.

Noel's was totally easy. Serah's was hard as balls if you don't prepare for it or don't have Chichu.

Sarah's was hard as shit until I realized you use a sen pet all of the time and just spam wound. Since the wound debuff carries over to phase 2 it made it do much easier since 25k was only like 1-2 rounds of attacking

You don't need a SEN monster for Serah really. Just have Serah on SEN and use monsters for the rest.
You really don't want either to sit on SEN for a long time anyway, switch only when necessary for a quick heal. Unless you want to go the boring and long route that is.

So I started playing FFX last night, just for memory sakes (my personal fav FF game, I could never really get into 7 :/) and it got me thinking...

I want to go back to the days when a game came out completed, had a gazillion different things you could do it in with a plethora of hidden stuff that allows you to play the game endlessly until you really do get bored of it, not to the point where the ending happens so quickly and you have to pay for additional content that's in development they plan on adding once the game is released. Hell, the "hardest" mobs in 13 and 13-2 are no-where near as hard as Ozma/Yaizmat/Penance. That's like ordering a pizza and it comes without the toppings, and when you question it, the waiter's all like "yeah, you gotta pay more for the toppings you should be getting". If I'm paying 10% of the original price for a DLC, I want it to have at least 10% of the playtime/content the main game has. I'll admit I bought the Sazh DLC, and after I played it, I vowed never to buy another. Running around the Casino, chasing Chocobos, with some half-arsed story about Chocolina thrown in...

I wouldn't mind taking a step back in the graphics department if it meant they could put more content onto a disk and ship it practically completed. I enjoyed the main storyline of 13 and 13-2, but 13 is my favorite out of them both as it is a completed game. I hope they don't release a DLC with a continuation from where 13-2 ended, because that really is taking the piss. You're paying full price for half the pizza there...

FFXIII-2 felt more complete than XIII did, so I have no idea why you are ranting about the "completeness" of the games. XIII was very linear and narrative heavy and artificially extended and most of all it was just frustrating to play. There was nothing to do but press on until you hit the Archelyte Steppe, and even then you could only get so far without progressing further in the story. My playtime for XIII-2 is higher than my playtime for XIII by like 20 hours. There was so much to do on the side, and it was actually fun. I'd pick XIII-2 over XIII any fucking day. XIII being more of a complete game than XIII-2 is a complete fucking joke.

Personally I look at the DLC bosses just like I look at character costumes. Totally optional and they add a tiny bit to the game. I wouldn't really bitch over extra content in XIII-2, and I wasn't disappointed when they started releasing DLC. It's not like they didn't tell everyone their intentions with it way ahead of time. They wanted to support DLC since XIII. As for Sazh's scenario, if you did your homework you would've known exactly what you were getting into. Andriasang and Siliconera were doing tons of previews for Sazh's scenario, they had pictures, videos everything you needed to figure out what you were getting. Shit chronobind is fucking boss, and was well worth the price of the DLC alone.

Lastly, and this has been said over and over, there will be no follow up to the ending via DLC. Nomura did a shitload of interviews with English and Japanese press telling people that they don't plan on continuing the story through DLC. Lightning's scenario is supposed to show what she was doing in Valhalla while Noel and Serah were dicking around.
