    Fencer TP Bonus Testing.

    Warrior (WAR) Notes - Fencer.

    ---

This was old testing, not sure when I tested it, but I don't think anything changed from when I tested the values. All testing was done in West Sarutabaruta on Bumblebees, not that it really matters, but just to keep things consistent.

    DRK90/WAR45 (Fencer ?)
Auriga Xiphos (Delay 224 = Base TP = 6.0% TP), Goading Belt (6.3% TP)
    Red Lotus Blade
    WS TP = 100.8% TP

    Code:
DMG	Level	Random	STR	INT	SUM_%	@	WSC	fTP	dINT	fINT	Calc'd.
    195	90	2	95	71	42	0.85	35	1.2846	48	32	195
    196	90	2	99	71	43	0.85	36	1.2846	48	32	196
    206	90	2	114	91	52	0.85	44	1.2846	48	32	206
    210	90	2	136	76	56	0.85	47	1.2846	48	32	210
    218	90	2	165	71	63	0.85	53	1.2846	48	32	218
    219	90	2	165	74	64	0.85	54	1.2846	48	32	219
    220	90	2	163	84	65	0.85	55	1.2846	48	32	220
    222	90	2	168	86	67	0.85	56	1.2846	48	32	222
    416	90	2	99	71	43	0.85	36	3	48	32	416
This was basically just getting a bunch of data points, and the back-calculating the fTP with TP values to match up with the observed game damage. I had originally tested the fTP without taking into account the 0.8% TP that was over 100% TP, so I calculated those values in. The conclusion I arrived at is that fencer I (WAR45) is 19.9% TP. Also, fTP does not truncate, but for formatting purposes I truncated it to fit in one column.

    ---

Testing fencer as WAR90/MNK45, Red Lotus Blade, WS TP = 100.0% TP.

    Code:
DMG	Level	Random	STR	INT	SUM_%	@	WSC	fTP	dINT	fINT	Calc'd.
    236	90	2	96	61	41	0.85	34	1.6201	48	32	236
    245	90	2	111	76	48	0.85	40	1.6201	48	32	245
    270	90	2	156	91	65	0.85	55	1.6201	48	32	270
I used the same principle to find the value for fencer at level 90 (or whenever WAR gets that last fencer trait upgrade). I'm not completely math savvy to find where TP changes damage, but I managed to get lucky and find that point within three data points. Fencer TP is 45.1% at WAR90.

    Testing ravager's cuisses +2.

    Code:
DMG	Level	Random	STR	INT	SUM_%	@	WSC	fTP	dINT	fINT	Calc'd.
    243	90	2	92	61	39	0.85	33	1.6916	48	32	243
    245	90	2	96	61	41	0.85	34	1.6916	48	32	245
    246	90	2	102	61	42	0.85	35	1.6916	48	32	246
    255	90	2	111	76	48	0.85	40	1.6916	48	32	255
    280	90	2	156	91	65	0.85	55	1.6916	48	32	280
    284	90	2	166	91	68	0.85	57	1.6916	48	32	284
Total fencer TP added was 50.3% TP, concluding that ravager's cuisses +2's "Fencer" +1 trait adds 5.2% TP.

    ---

I was curious to see how much fencer added at level 75, so I had a friend bring out their level 75 mule while I did some testing.

    Code:
DMG	Level	Random	STR	INT	SUM_%	@	WSC	fTP	dINT	fINT	Calc'd.
    191	75	2	79	49	33	0.85	28	1.5198	48	32	191
    193	75	2	84	49	35	0.85	29	1.5198	48	32	193
    194	75	2	88	49	36	0.85	30	1.5198	48	32	194
    196	75	2	91	49	37	0.85	31	1.5198	48	32	196
    218	75	2	153	46	55	0.85	46	1.5198	48	32	218
The interesting thing about the level 75 test was that the @ value I was trying to use originally (0.83) was making it impossible for the game damage to match observed damage. I don't know if it's a level sync quirk, but the values match at @ values of 0.85. Fencer at WAR75 is 37.8% TP.

To check the @ value, I changed to DRK75/SAM37 and did an RLB at 100.0% TP.

    Code:
DMG	Level	Random	STR	INT	SUM_%	@	WSC	fTP	dINT	fINT	Calc'd.
    141	75	2	88	60	38	0.85	32	1	48	32	141
The damage didn't match up till I changed the @ value to 0.85 or 0.86. I went with 0.85, considering that the @ value at 90 is also 0.85. It could also be that under level sync, @ calculations takes your "real" level into account and not the level sync'd one. Would need more testing on that.

    ---

Checking some spirits within numbers to see if the numbers match up.

    WAR75/MNK37 HP = 1546, DMG = 229, WS TP = 137.8% TP

    Spirits within damage at 137.8% TP is a 38 / 256 multiplier of HP = 1546 * ( 38 / 256 ) = 229.4844.

    WAR90/SAM45 HP = 1636, DMG = 249, WS TP = 145.1% TP

    Spirits within damage at 145.1% TP is a 39 / 256 multiplier of HP = 1636 * ( 39 / 256 ) = 249.2344.

    ---

Robonosto's blog states that fencer at WAR75 gives a 40.?% TP bonus, which matches up when considering how spirits within works. Spirits within damage changes every 6.25% TP from 100 to 200 with increments of 1 / 256, and the 40.?% TP bonus lies within 137.5% and 143.75% TP ( 38 / 256 ).

    ---

    TL;DR, WAR45 = Fencer 19.9% TP, WAR75 = Fencer 37.8% TP, WAR90 = Fencer 45.1% TP, Ravager's Cuisses +2 = Fencer +5.2% TP.

How confident are you about the exact TP values? Floor functions etc seem that WAR45 could easily be 20 TP, Fencer +1 from pants could be 5 etc...

Seems somewhat more likely to me than that there are these odd decimal values, (as I'm pretty sure TP isn't done in fractions of 1024 or something like haste to make those weird values integer multiples of 1/1024)

Base TP taken from delay, formulas on the OtherWiki.
First test used a non-exact TP (100.8 ), which is just an auriga xiphos and tactical mantle.
Second test (WAR90/MNK45) used snakeeye +1's base TP (7.5%) 8 times to give me an exact 60.0% TP, then I added on 7 sTP (brutal earring and tactical mantle = 8.0% TP), 5 times to give me 100.0% TP. (Same method to get 100.0% TP for the ravager's cuisses +2 testing.)
For the level 75 test, I had to use askar korazin, brutal earring, and an ecphoria ring to get the 7 sTP for exact numbers, obviously anything above level 75 would get a lower sTP amount.

Basically just modifying sTP so I get even numbers and I just add them up.

    Damage formula for calculating is [ FLOOR[ Lv + 2 + FLOOR( FLOOR( ( STR * 0.30 ) + ( INT * 0.20 ) , 1 ) * @ , 1 ) ] * fTP , 1 ] + fINT.

I'm not totally sure for how damage is increased, but the TP values I listed are the apparent increases that match the current game values. I will look into whether or not the TP bonus is an actual TP increase as a fraction or a truncated decimal.
