i would also go for any monitor with a 1920 x 1200 resolution or 1920 x 1080 at least. If i had to choose, i would go with the Asus.

I think I'm stuck on the asus. I really don't know why people think the speakers are a con... Yeah they such but they are in an LCD monitor so they don't really count *sigh*.

    It's odd. Wouldn't 1920x1080 look a bit odd on a 21.5" Monitor? 23-24" is understandable, but 21.5" is a stretch.

    There's a 1680x1050 Acer on there that's on sale for like.. $149.99 I believe that's got decent reviews. Newegg.com - Acer X223Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 2500:1 - LCD Monitors

It's obviously not HD, but i figure it's a nice 22" for the price.

    1920x1200

A little over your budget, but has a 20dollar mail-in rebate, and an additional 20dollars off from a promo code expiring tomorrow.

Eh, I bought both my Asus monitors from new egg, and not a single dead pixel. Haven't had any problems with them and love em to death.

I've had an Acer monitor with a cluster of dead pixes, but the one I got after it was fine.

Acer, HannsG, and Dell are probably your best.

samsung panels are typically pretty cheaply made. Paying for name most of the time with them...

Asus is a solid brand, check out [H]ard forum and they'll say the same thing.

lol@looking cheap btw, the 25" asus is one of the best on the market and priced better than most as well. If you game, like, more than ffxi or whatever, then they are a great buy as they make great panels.

I use the Acer AL2216W, but it's not adjustable in height or angle. The one you posted is adjustable in angle, so it's definitely a plus.

Is also very good because you can hook up a game console if you wanted to. Most 22" or less don't have component/composite/hdmi inputs, so if you want a monitor that doubles as a TV in that aspect, you should yoink this one.
