Red Ash: The Indelible Legend {Mega Man: Legends from the Mighty No. 9 team}
Co-developed by Comcept and Studio 4°C
A full reveal is planned for this Saturday, July 4, at the Anime Expo, likely during the “Keiji Inafune and Eiko Tanaka Guest Panel” at 11:30 a.m. PT.
Now what in the world could this be…?
Well…whatever it is, we decided to give our backers a special first look at it!
If you want to know more, you are all just going to have to wait until Independence Day to find out!
We can’t say anything more until then, but we think you get the idea.
Please share this video with all your friends, and help spread the word!
It looks very much like it could be a spiritual successor to Mega Man Legends. If we change the spacing in the title, in fact, it’s “Re-Dash,” and Mega Man Legends is known as Rockman Dash in Japan.
Ah, the summer of 1999, the wonderful memories of playing Mega Man Legends. I bought the game with the money I got for my report card and it was probably one of my best investments as a child.
If this turns out to be true, this could become wonderful.
Welp, sign me up for the $159 tier. I'm a sucker for artbooks. I'm on my phone so it's a bit difficult to check, but is that the same artist that did breath of fire?
Is this intended to be like a Mega Man Legends game? It doesn't seem clear to me from the description, unless I'm missing something. I would love it if it is, MML was one of my favorite games.

Legends was anime as fuck, and um, Inafune himself has said it's the spiritual successor in the same vein as Mighty No. 9. The protagonist's name is Beck ffs lol. Not sure on your confusion here.
I was initially skeptical of what it was also, but watch the video at 3:10. Note how Inafune mentions "we were a bit ahead of our time when we first attempted this", and he has a red can of soda falling down the stairs. The can is a direct reference to the can you could kick around in the mall of MML1. It was an unexpected fun diversion for a lot of players, and I don't doubt Inafune was well aware of that.
Kinda waiting on seeing how MN9 turns out first. I don't know how the heck they managed to sign up studios to do an anime of both projects before they're even released though. Work must be rough over there for animators.
