Tomb Raider

Just started this game today, playing on my 2560x1600 monitor on ultimate settings with every setting I can have maxed out. Game looks pretty cool so far, some of the scenes in the tutorial made me flinch.

Any suggestions? So far all I know is to level survival first for more xp. Should I be using a controller or my keyboard/mouse?

for skills, to me the number one to get first was the collecting your arrows back. After that, get a feel for whatever you find yourself most comfortable with.

There are some fights later on where the stab them in the leg with an arrow became super handy for me.

I play on KB/M just fine. What card are you using? I have a 670 and my 2560x1440 gets here tomorrow. I stopped about 70% into the story to wait on my monitor. I think the graphics, skin texture wise, are the best I have ever seen. And thats at 1080p. I can only image what 1440 and no FXAA will look like.

680 but I switch back and fourth between 30" 1600p monitor with mouse/kb and my 1080p 57" tv with controller/surround sound.

The my fps is erratic due to drivers, that are better but still unstable.No A Vsync, higher temps, abnormal fps drops. I blame it all on AMD gaming evolved title.

not sure if you considered squaretrade for warranty but they're amazing. the least you'd get back is your money if they can't replace the screen. either way monoprice sells the 1440p LCD's now (they're backordered), and they come with a warranty.

If they wanted to cash in on some DLC costumes, they should have had one where she's her old short shorts wearing, blue tanktop having, giant titted self
No one's going to want a version of lara where she's wearing more clothes!

They're saving that DLC for when they really NEED the cash.

Two questions:
- There are some DLC abilities for single player that overlap with the skills you buy with EXP I guess? Does buying these make them count as bought in the skills menu, thereby getting to tier2 skills faster? Might be worth it for replay.
- And speaking of replay, has anyone been able to fight the final boss sequence again? Can't seem to open that door again. I wanted to show a friend the epic climb.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure that buying the powers / add ons means you're throwing money at something that can normally be obtained through gameplay.

If you want to use the latest drivers with tesselation, there's a fix.

Download nvidia inspector
Open nvidia inspector
Delete Tomb raider 2013 profile
Find hitman absolution profile
Link tombraider.exe
Change if you want af, aa and so on
Press apply button

Running great for me. I have tessalation and tressfx on and running at 60fps.

Would this still be relevant today or is there a better/new way?

Finally trying this after getting this during the Summer sale. Gotta say this game is beautiful. My PC can't handle it on Ultimate settings because of the water/rain D:

To be ported to PS4 & XB1

It looks like Tomb Raider is coming to next-generation platforms. Siliconera discovered the game has been rated in Brazil for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Tomb Raider hasn’t received its equivalent of the usual “Game of the Year” editions one normally sees, wherein all downloadable content is included out of the box, so this would probably provide a good opportunity for Square Enix to release one of those.

Note that this is different from the next-generation Tomb Raider game that is currently in development.

Does the game have a lot of climbing, platforming, etc.? All I remember from the really really old ones were that I fell from places way too much and gradually lost interest.

Well...... rent it. MP wasnt all the imo. Story was great though. Steam sale is best.
