Alright, so my first Shinryu (taken me forever to get people together for some of the stupid caturae...) and it was... unproductively short. We go in with a group set to proc blue, brew it, and boom. Unfortunately, after we entered this was the result:

Oh hey look, we didn't bother to establish who's brewing. Oops. Well, we figure why not, we've already wasted our stones, let's just throw ourselves at it for giggles. And you can see how long we lasted:

I honestly don't think I could. The article doesn't seem to have any point at all aside from "the things my autistic friend tells me about FFXI makes me afraid of MMOs". The author tries to analyze the reasons someone would play an MMO without really having a solid grasp about what actually takes place in one, throws in the 2 most famous psychological experiments that pretty much anyone's who's ever taken a psych course knows about even though they have absolutely nothing to do with the subject, his autistic friend apparently showed him BG and it freaked him out, he compares improving your character in an MMO with Glengarry Glen Ross and makes some comment about how environmentalism will destroy the economy, talks about gold farming a bit, the Salvage bannings, and it ends with him talking about Facebook and Farmville and how a girl in elementary school who told him they'd get married is married to some other guy and has nice boobs.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of other crazy shit too.

I could have expected something like that considering it's Colenzo and he had guys like Ansem in there who apparently can't even write macros correctly(complained about people blinking in gear as a support job with <stal> and <stpt> available, riiiiiiiiight). But probably better for you, just lowman stuff with your other friends who got kicked, still get stuff, the end.

honestly, count your blessings. I just got done with doing the structured ls event thing for good; the past few weeks without it have been an amazing blessing, reminding me why this game can and should be fun instead of a job. sounds like your ls leader is a retard, and you have all the resources and friends you need to continue to get shit done. the random fail is that you stayed in a ls that actually enforces events for so long

Your first mistake was doing anything with Swisha, that guy is quite possibly the biggest retard on Valefor. I honestly think he's worse than Welfare.
