Miss Piggy's Grocery Store Checkout Headlines

Tins filled with the air sucked out of an ageing wooden stable, straw lined and filled with gas producing cattle has become an instant hit after it went on sale in Germany.
Managers of the 'Countryside air to go' project say their clients are mainly country people who have moved to the city and want to be reminded of home.
The cans cost £5 a pop and can be ordered from the web site www.stallduft.de
One advert boasts: 'Simply put your nose to the tin and peel back the lid for the authentic smell of the country'.
Designer Daniela Dorrer from the village of Adlkofen in Bavaria in Germany said: 'We hope to make people who miss the countryside happy and remind them of home.
'We are planning other smells such as horse, straw, pigs and manure. But most people miss the smell of the cows in the country, not really surprising as much of the smell is from cows.'
Cows' farting and burping have even been accused of causing global warming problems.
Just one cow gives off enough harmful methane gas in a single day to fill around 400 litre bottles, which is really bad for the environment, say experts.

For some reason I thought this was going to be about capturing methane gas from cows and selling it for fuel. Silly me.

I can understand the thought behind it, when I was taking horseback riding lessons a stable smelled pretty good to me. The work that goes along with it however is another story lol. But I don't think I would want to actually own preserved stable air...ugh.

This is like one of those ideas you get while sitting around with friends saying "I got this great idea..." and then everybody laughs at you. Well he showed them!

I'd rather buy a purse for 1,000 times the price.

    Hire maids for your army!

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-12973263

    http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/image...4_maid_afp.jpg

A Singaporean soldier who was pictured with a maid carrying his backpack has identified himself to his commander and undergone counselling, officials say.

The soldier was "remorseful", defence official Col Desmond Tan said in a letter published in the Straits Times.

The recruit was undergoing physical training prior to basic training.

The image, which was first published on social media sites, has led to debate in Singapore on whether conscripts and their training are tough enough.

    'It was wrong'
The photograph showed the soldier in fatigues on a path with his maid following behind carrying his military field-pack on her back.

"The serviceman concerned has identified himself to his commander," said Col Tan.

"The recruit is remorseful for his actions and realises that it was wrong for him to have allowed this," he said.

"He has been counselled and continues his training. The SAF (Singapore Armed Forces) has reminded all servicemen to be mindful of their conduct in public."

Singapore maintains a conscript-based military. Every able-bodied male citizen and second-generation permanent resident aged 18 and over must have two years of military training.

The soldier in question was undergoing physical training before starting a nine-week Basic Military Training course.

Local daily the New Paper also surveyed 23 national servicemen and found that 22 of them had their maids wash and iron their army uniforms, while 17 had their domestic helpers clean their rooms for them.
Close to 200,000 maids -- largely from Indonesia and the Philippines -- were estimated to be working in affluent Singapore last year.
    lol
When I was at uni, my mum used to fly our indonesian maid from Malaysia straight to the UK for 3 months period; but this article is hilarious on so many levels.

    Funny quotes

"Behind every successful SAF (Singapore Armed Forces) soldier, there is a maid"
