Oh my god that was such an awesome ending, they really did the red lotus guys justice in their endings. I loved the solemn way that they left it, and the final ceremony was great.

Obviously that metal bender girl's gonna be some kind of problem in the future.

Everything I wanted from a finale and more. I hope season 4 brings the fight to Aang vs Ozai levels, but this is far better than anything we got from season 1 and 2.

Bolin lava bending was icing on the cake, and I was fucking wondering when Mako would use some gd lightning on a bitch.

Also, Genora kinda looks like Aang which is cool.

Ugh, can't wait for season 4.

The fight on the mountain between Korra/Tonraq/Zaheer has to have some of the best choreography of the entire series. The whole finale raised the bar for the entire series.

I suspect unless Korra gets her past connection back, we'll not see anything like that terribly soon.

In addition to the poison (fucking mercury wtf), notice that Korra's fighting style was very... Korra. It didn't have the polish and technique to it that Aang's fight did. I suspect that losing her connection to her past lives lost her those techniques that Aang used against Ozai.

But then again, it could have been the poison was the only reason.

She was pretty feral, she thought her Dad was dead and the Red Lotus planned to kill her and the avatars so it makes sense she'd Hulk out (first thing I thought seeing that fight, KORRA SMASH)

I place this season and Season 2 of TLA as the top Avatar seasons as both had the same dark vibes. Just the Korra season 3 material is more mature. Makes me think that no way this finale would have been green lit to air on Nick, even on the Friday death slot.
