Personally I'm not sure what's preventing people from just donating via the Red Cross. People complain about having to go through Playonline to get to FFXI for years, now they want us to go through Playonline to donate to charity? Wut.

Frankly the whole "key master" thing is bogus in my book..but it's a system that "works" well. the diff is this:A level 75 have worked their but off earning their levels outside of abby..so one person out of the lot getting the "easy route" from 75+ being a key master is okay for me. but for any who are lower than that they are simply just wanting to "burn to 90 just to make that job 90" and any who say otherwise is full of crap! becuase a person who worked that job to 75 knows it and actually wants to play it. my idea is this...if you don't like a job....DON'T LEVEL IT! don't leach it to 90 just to brag you have a job at 90..and that's what these abby noobs are doing. they could care less about the job. they just want another level 90 for bragging rights.

Yes the only reason to level a job is to brag about having leveled that job. I didn't level WHM as my second job because I enjoyed it, I did it to brag about having 2 75s. I didn't solo my way painfully to 75 on BLM for the sake of nuking the absolute piss out of NMs, I did it to brag about having 3 75 jobs. I didn't level SMN because it was kind of fun or anything, I leveled it to 75 because I wanted to brag about having a 4th 75. IT ALL MAKES SENSE TO ME NOW.

Let's be honest here, hasn't abyssea caused more people to come back to the game rather than quit? Legitimate question. I've only had one friend quit because of the ease and several more talk about coming back.

I don't really know anyone that quit because of abyssea, most people I know that came back, returned more for the level increase then abyssea.

I've seen a lot more come back than quit from it. The difference may be BG posters typically being in endgame shells rather than noob social shells (which have a massive turnover anyways, they just don't notice it unless there's "one thing causing it").

I don't think there have been many either way. At least not in the droves (for either side) that people claim. Just reactionary panicky shit.

Probably about even, to be honest. Those of us (like me) who don't like the changes won't come back, those that do will give it another shot. Though I also won't come back because of needing to start over from scratch (and well fuck that shit). I've heard people say both that the changes have made them want to come back and others say that the changes killed the game for them.

And of course the game population has been declining for years now anyway. Their argument about new players not learning the game is stupid though, most of the people starting again are people who played before and at least have some knowledge of the game.

And Krystal really needs to understand that if she doesn't like it, she's free to quit the game, all of her whining and complaining about how she hates what the game turned into sounds like a really good argument for her NOT PLAYING ANYMORE. Someone please tell her that. Please.
