^lol, I would not be surprised if something like that happens. If I remember correct Aquaman has a brother and one of the big plots was two Atlantians fighting
Dwayne Johnson choose to be Black Adam over Shazam/Billy Batson because he has more layers to his character (Slave to Anti-Hero)

Rock shoulda been cyborg, he'd have killed that role :/
I imagine (if Cyborg is in this movie?) they'll be going for someone younger. No way the Rock can pass for a teenager.
I have no faith in them doing Shazam/Black Adam well.
Black Adam is a middle eastern dictator, powered by middle eastern gods, and is often worshiped by his people as a god himself. He is also a fan of public executions.
Then you have Shazam who is like a version of Superman that go stuck in the 1950's.
Just trying to get the tone for a story that involves both of them is hard. Making a story where they keep both of them as heroes, keep them true to their comic counterparts, and do so without angering anyone seems impossible.
So Shazam is extra terrible? Superman is already a shitty ass character with kindergarten rules super powers lol.
Shazam is a twelve year old boy with the power to transform into an adult god. He's kinda cheesy, but that can be used to good effect. Black Adam is the character in that universe that has real depth though. He is a great story, and if done right, could be an awesome anti-hero.
I guess those that don't like Superman wouldn't like Shazam.
I think the recent Multiversity Thunderworld was a good Shazam comic. He is an old school comic book character and you either like that sort of thing or you don't.
Black Adam on the other hand has evolved in a completely different way.
why people choose to get offended when (in reference to fiction, in this case only, as to avoid potential confusion) a perspective of a (again, fictional) character, (yet again, fictional) event, and/or (fucking fictional) universe doesnt coincide with a pre-existing (ficti....) canon is beyond me.
in regards to black adam/shazam though, i think that anyone who wants to see a movie in general should not then go and say there are limits to the creative control over these characters portrayals. they can definately be done right, even for canon needers, but the fact that its fiction needs to be respected even when (or when its not) following a script. its bad that people are accepting of pre-censoring in such a way that the main goal is not offending people with almost just as fictional beliefs of reality. after all, this IS fiction were talking about.
yeah, how dare fans of an IP expect an adaptation of said IP to be faithful to the source instead of a cheap moneygrab with a few superficial similarities thrown in for brand recognition, those bastards
well played lol

Phil Lord And Chris Miller (The Lego Movie) to write & direct The Flash

well fuck now I'm interested in it again
Lord and Miller haven't disappointed me yet.
Only relation I could think of was that it was Justice League and it shows our favorite people on a power trip!
Freshly made and "acquirable" via the interwebs
It was surprisingly good -- but, then again, Bruce Timm. I'm kinda bummed they aren't going to do a monthly comic to keep it going and we have to wait till season 2 of (what I assume will still be) the shorts.
