no durability that I can tell, it seems that higher level items just harvest things faster and do more damage

God damnit I wish I weren't so busy right now... Let me know when a BG server pops up, I'll just have to procrastinate and start playing.
Hmm only 10 dollars. Might give it a shot.
Finally got it to work. Holy shit this game is addicting.
so I made a room, which the Guide moved into, which was cool because he stopped moving around so much.
Then I wanted to replace my floors with brick, and I droppped him down a floor, and now he's walking around again like nuts, opening doors and shit. I really want him to stay put but I dunno how to get him to move back into a room
Anyway yea this game is fucking awesome. Really need a wiki with comprehensive crafting recipes. I kinda wish chests didn't require Iron ore so you could store materials more easily.
This game kicks so much ass, and I haven't even discovered half the materials and stuff you can build yet.
Would also love a server or something. I imagine multiplayer is pretty cool.
Oooo cool, you can pull your single player map into multiplayer if you are hosting. Thats awesome.
98.183.226.122 have at it. Try not to touch any of the chests in the castle or blow anything up :D
Also, it looks like a goblin army is about to attack me.
you have to use stone walls (that i know for sure) i also used stone bricks cause if you use dirt walls he wont show up. it took me awhile to figure this out... not sure if the other npcs have wall/brick requirements before moving in.
use the hammer to remove/replace walls.

helpful tip to everyone. save every stick of dynamite. period. it's the only easy way of destroying ebonstone. (you can find dynamite in spawned chests in the premade caverns so there will be some exploring needed )
use it on the thinnest chasm you can find in the corruption so you can destroy the forsaken orb with a hammer and get a meteor to fall to get your molten pickaxe.
Yea I figured it out. I just had to wait longer. He eventually came. You can buy Dynamite from a demolitionman for 50 silver. He appears after you've thrown a stick of dynamite (which you get from chests).
You can buy powder to easily mine and clear out corrupted areas too, as well as one of the later pickaxes letting you mine corrupted areas to easily get in to them. Don't worry too much about dynamite.
Why does this have to cost me 10$ :/
It could cost you less than $8 if you spring for the 4pack. Assuming you have 3 friends, anyway.
Mining these little squares is kind of lame, too small a target.
If anyone else wants to join, Motsy, his friend, my friend, and I are having a blast taking turns killing the bosses on my server. 98.183.226.122
Trying to get everyone strong enough to taker out skeletron.
yeah i've used the dynamite and still no demo, and i've had a musket forever and still no gunsmith and i have plenty of rooms >.> i'm getting screwed !
oh yeah... fuck those goblin mages... fuck them in their asses.
making you HAVE to kill until they retreat is so dumb... i just want to sell some items to the merchant but noooooooo i keep getting shot and it felt like there was no end to them !
oh yeah i say just use the dynamite as it's easy enough to just either dig straight down to find a nice big cavern
or just explore the surface till you find an entrance to one as you can do this and get 2-3 sticks easy enough from the chests
and get your meteor weapons/armor/pick as fast as possible as the difference between having it and not having it is freaking huge.
*edit* another huge tip, single on a small map allows you to get fallen stars LOADS easier than on a medium or large map.
I don't think it's even possible to get a meteor pick/sword anymore. I had 50 meteor bars and still couldn't make one.
yeah they def changed the recipe. i'm pretty sure you need hellstone to make it.
if you haven't dug down far enough to see it, make a death pit. 2 blocks wide and as deep as you can go
Oh look I have to install a massive update to .NET Framework to even play this game...boy that .NET sure was a good substitute for Java, or natively compiled apps!
