It looks as though Hawkman will have his time in the spotlight. Warner Bros. is currently developing a Hawkman movie, and is on the hunt for writers. There are already a number of comicbook superhero films in development, so I won't be holding my breath until a director is hired. It will be interesting to see how the writers plan on crafting the various complicated backstories to make a film that will be a hit with both general audiences and die-hard fans.

fuck yea. Carter Hall, motherfuckers. This will seriously be terrible but that doesn't mean I don't love him. Hawkman is a character that needs to stay in the comic world though.

Hawkman is awesome, but yeah, needs to stay in the comics. I do not forsee anything that could make it into a good movie

I think he'd work if you kept his movie in older times. Do a pure "origin" story back in Egypt and only have him appear in the present/future in other movies. You could do it Mummy-esque or something. He wouldn't look silly as long as he's not in the modern world, I'd say.

He was rather well-done in Smallville and one of the few characters who didn't brood on anything and just got shit done, so he looked more manly in comparison to the rest of the cast, which got him a pass. Only being in the suit a few times helped too.

I liked him and the actor that played him in Smallville, wouldn't mind them using the same guy if this ever gets off the ground but at the same time, not sure how well a movie featuring him would really work out.
