Just makes me laugh. He's riding a motorcycle, in a jungle, along with pet raptors, and what looks to be a samurai sword (probly "No More Heroes" style).

That's clearly a rifle w/ strap lol.

Although I would prefer a samurai sword.

Also, this movie looks like a cross between Deep Blue Sea and Jaws 3D. I hope there are some surprises cause they just telegraphed the whole plot..

They should've gone ahead and made them all look like our modern understandings of how they look. Given the explanations they used for how they were created, it wouldn't even be a retcon.

After watching it, I find this trailer "review" pretty accurate to my feelings regarding it.

Effects in trailers are usually not as good as in the movie itself, I am not too concerned about that quite yet.
I feel part of the reason this series suffers is because the first movie was just so good for its time. It doesn't help though that movie 2 and 3 were mediocre at best. I remember the raptors scaring the crap out of me in the first one though.

They did. The only unknowns are, who gets eaten and who survives and if the super Dino escapes into the sunset leading up to the sequel or gets put down leaving behind even smarter offspring.

i remember, when i was little, watching the first one. in the scene where samuel L jackson's arm flops onto Ellie's shoulder i saw hinges in the elbow and wasn't scared. i distinctly remember how shitty it looked. i've rewatched it as an adult looking for the hinges and can't find them, so either young me had an eagle eye, imagined it, the version i saw had that put in for some reason, or they fixed it in later versions... though the dismembered arm still doesn't look very good.
