Love this game, every UI button is so juicy. I normally play with the 3D off but I will slide up to check out their effects, very well done. I tried watching one of the FFXIII videos in 3D but it hurt my face, wondering if some of the other ones are better. At first I thought this would be a total guilty pleasure and I'd regret buying it but I have logged 5 hours already and want to go back and unlock all the expert tracks in story mode.

That being said, I do wish that new songs would unlock, even if it was just a couple. I guess its nice to be able to play whatever you want at game start but would be a nice reward for beating the story the first time. I wonder if the new songs come with new art as well

The Dark Shrine songs and DLC songs definitely have their own background. Judgement Day has a Northern Crater background and Fighters of the Crystal is in La'Loff Amphitheater. Been hoping to see an Ark Angel, but I've yet to.

Zidane gets Treasure Hunter 1 at level 15, and Treasure Hunter 2 at level 45.

I guess you have to play FFXI to get that. I giggled.

I picked this up on a whim and played it for like 4 hours straight. Some of these songs are pretty damn hard on ultimate. Event songs have me nostalgia'ing hard and I feel like replaying every FF game there is.

There's a good handful of songs that do unlock, but they come at pretty high rhythmia values. It's not a lot of them, but there's around 7 or 10 tracks that unlock outside of the series songs, including Dancing Mad and a couple other decent ones.

fuck giza plains in ultimate. =.=

and mithen (sp) highroad in ultimate.

so many midpoints in the slider that the screen flashes like crazy and its hard to tell if your supposed to move up or down, lol.

Im also laughing at how all those reviews were talking about how the chimes detracted from the music and how you couldnt diable them, yet in the settings it's right in plain view as an option. <_<;

The wait for the postman to deliver it this morning is excruciating. I haven't felt like this about a game for a long, long time. o__o

How does the DLC work with this game? Is it unlocked for you to play immediately once you've bought it? I want to grab Fighting Fate (XIII), Cosmo Canyon (VII) & Fighters of the Crystal (XI). :D

You have to unlock dlc but it's done rq the. You just download the tunes

Menu are always explained can't miss anything

Is there a list of what unlocks at specific Rhythmia values? I'm in the 7 or 8k range now and I've only got 3 shards on a few of my secret characters ~_~. I'm wondering how high I'm going to need to go to fully unlock them all.

LoLs, You get very few shards from Rythmia.

You get shards as drops from Bosses in the Chaos game-mode, Bosses have specific Drops. Play that

Is it 4 from Rhymia and 4 from bosses for each character or will the Rhythmia reward be replaced if you get everything from the Chaos Shrine?
Also I would have to be in the same vicinity as all of you to make use of the street pass wouldn't I?

Yeah, shards come mostly from Dark Notes. You can get some of them from Rhythmia unlocks, but they're pretty rare. Once you've exhausted some of the basic ones, the game will start giving you garbage like phoenix downs and magicite instead of shards.

For the unlocks though:

Dancing Mad (FFVI) - 10,000pts
Blinded by Light (FFXIII) - 15,000pts
Searching for Friends (FFVI) - 20,000pts
Those Who Fight/Let the Battles Begin! (FFVII) - 25,000pts

Mt. Gulg (FF1) - 27,500pts
Battle 1 (FFIV) - 30,000pts
Within the Giant (FFIV) - 32,500pts
Battle to the Death (FFVI) - 35,000pts

(unsure if the ones below match with the English titles, since I don't have enough points to unlock them yet)

Mambo de Chocobo (FFV) - 37,500pts
J-E-N-O-V-A (FFVII) - 40,000pts
The Last Day (FFVII) - 42,500pts
Something to Protect - 45,000pts

And that's all the unlocks.

closest i am to unlocking a char is 5/8... Most all from the Chaos Shrine.

That said, there's a fkton of unlockable characters... Everytime i think I have began them all, I get a new shard.

I'm not sure if you care, but I'm going to guess Judgement is the 42,500 unlock since that's a FF7 song and it's not listed.

Probably. Like I said, a lot of the track names in the JP version don't jive with the names in the NA version. I had to look up the last 4 because I'm just on the cusp of unlocking Mambo.

Also, I think I've got all but like.. 4 characters unlocked now. I'd kill for someone in Columbus to have a Dark Note with purple, gray, black or navy shards. Cannot make any headway on those four.

I have Purple, Gray, Black, and Blue... Not Navy... But i don't live near you ;|

That being said, I've done over 40 Chaos Notes, and not a single one of them had FFXI as the Battle song... I want my FFXI battle song

- Also had a lot of the Unlockable songs show up there.

Sad there wasn't an Unlockable FFXI Song... Warriors of the Crystal is nice for DLC, can't wait for Ragnarok to come out too... Going to get that.
