Windows module installer has stopped working.

I googled a bit before deciding to post but most things I found weren't exactly related to my situation. A few days ago windows media player stopped working and I tried to fix that but it didn't bug me much. Then I was getting error messages such as "SSDP has stopped working" "IPsec has stopped working" etc so I decided to wipe the drive clean and do a fresh install. During the first install my computer froze and I had to restart the install, which eventually finished. But now that everything has been installed I'm getting the error "Windows module installer has stopped working". Any advice? Not sure if it makes any difference but I'm running a SSD.

I'd likely run memtest myself. When windows has problems installing I often find it is a RAM issue. Could be the SSD but I don't know much about testing them, I'm guessing they have software for it on the manufacturers sites.
