BG TERA - PVP or PVE? You decide!

BG comes to you with yet another poll.

This time, we're interested in hearing about your opinion on server types - either PVP or PVE.

These are how the servers are projected to work in the states.

PVP:

-Open world PK option will be accessible after leaving Island of Dawn(11+).
-You must posses PK tokens in order to PK someone. (Each token is 1500 gold in Korea.)
-Price per declaration is 10 tokens for anyone your level, or any level above you. Price increases by 5 for every level below you. (That's how it works in Korea ATM.)
-Once PK is declared, there is a 5 second countdown prior to being able to attack the other player.
-When one member in a party declares PK on someone, the entire party of both the declarer and the victim will be flagged for PVP.
-There is no reward for killing anyone in the open world.
-There is no penalty for killing anyone in the open world.
-(In Korea) Lords have the ability to turn PK zones into friendly zones when in control of that specific region.

For PVE servers, the PK option will simply be removed.

All of BGing, dueling, organized PVP, SVS, and anything Politics related will be available in both PVP and PVE servers.

***Please keep in mind some PVP rules are subject to change. As of today though, this is how it's projected to work.

I am gonna chose PVE server because there really isn't any point to OWPVP in TERA. Without any real objectives it will just lead to a gankfest, and besides with the 5 second deceleration rule in place, anyone with half a brain will be able to switch channels and take off on their mount before the PVP'er has any chance of a kill..lol

Channels and OWpvp LOL, all servers are pve.

Do note that below lvl 40 10 tokens is pretty expensive, 15k is like a green quality gear for lvl 20-30.

I prefer OWpvp simply cuz at endgame, I want to fight back against greifers, and killing RMTs to grow my epenis(pk count)
What if some a-hole decide to come and mess up your BAMS, by luring other bams on you... I rather lets just have a straight up pk fest ill lose 1 person aggroing the BAM and we can have a real fight instead of that mob luring business. But then there are CHANNELS gosh darn why do we even have pvp/pve servers anyways.

At the moment in Korea, sure, but they plan to have PVE and PVP servers at release in US. Overall, I don't like the idea of OWPVP so I'll be on a PVE server.

You have to actually press ESC to bring out your mouse, click on the player and click the PK menu(You can be "too far from target" if the player is moving)

But I hear EME will be putting in a /pk <name> command for NA version.

CHANNELS work both ways, if your a sneaky ganker, you can switch channels to sneak up on people, or run away from the masses..lol

PvP server is a definite deal breaker for me. I'm not completely sure if I'll be rolling with the BG Guild (depends how many of my friends want to play and if they want me to make our usual LS/Guild), but I'd definitely like to play on the same server at the least... if it's PvP though no way, Aion has given me a special little place in my heart filled with hatred for open world PvP. Stuff like duels, battlegrounds, and other consensual stuff is fine though... and since it seems like you don't lose any actual game content going PvE, that's what I'd prefer.

In a PvP server, I can just see myself getting back from an NM(BAM?) that I failed at miserably and suddenly get ambushed pissing me off even further. I just don't want to subject myself to such stress. PvE for me.

Channels in Tera aren't a constant thing. Most major cities and early zones have multiple channels. However later on all areas are restricted to 1 channel iirc (thus one can't channel hop to avoid being killed).

Anyway, I vote PvE.
