    Voidwatch NM Weaknesses

Rather than resurrect an old post (which wasn't even a discussion specifically regarding Voidwatch) or have this mingled with and buried in the general Voidwatch discussion, I thought it was important to make it a separate topic for visibility. I'm not sure why this discussion hasn't been started yet.

Like Abyssea, there has to be a list of procs for Voidwatch NM weakness staggers. This list encompasses far more abilities, weapon skills, and spells compared to Abyssea, but I do not believe that the list includes every magic spell, ability, and weapon skill in the game, so it would certainly be helpful to narrow the list down as far as possible.

Please add to this list with replies and I'll keep the top post updated. If you're not sure if something staggered the mob, please say so and I'll put an asterisk next to it for confirmation. From now on, since Monday's update, there should be no question about what caused a proc since the name of the staggering player will come up in the log.

Note that abilities, weapon skills, and spells cannot trigger weaknesses on "resist," "miss," or "no effect" with the exception of Dispel and Magic Finale which can proc on "no effect" but not "resist."

*Need further confirmation on these spells/abilities/WSes as potential procs.

As a start, I'm going to slowly start digging through the 40-ish page VW discussion thread and see what info I can glean from there.

Blade: Jin and Atonement have both been used to proc.

    Also, pre-update Elemental Ichi proc

We have gotten scholar abilities listed as a weakness so many times and our scholar has never gotten it to trigger after trying both libra and modus veritas. I don't believe the modus veritas has ever actually landed for effect, however.

To add to the list, I triggered a club weakness with Flash Nova last week.

Modus Veritas being a proc is a bug because they gimped it after the whole SCH AV shit.

Note: The debuffs actually have to land to get proc from my experience, a resist will not net proc.

    RDM

    Slow 1, 2, Paralyze

    BLM Spells

Tier 1-5, -ga 1-3, AM1 and 2, and -ja spells. I have proc'd most of the elements. If you need specifics I can provide them.

Blind, Elemental debuffs (burn, rasp, shock, drown, for sure), Stun, Drain, Aspir

    NIN Spells

Ichi, Ni, San lines for most spells. Kurayami: Ni and maybe once Aisha: Ichi (water, when it landed but not 100% sure).

    WHM

    Banish 3, Banishga 2, Holy

    SCH

SCH Helixes for appropriate element has been shown to proc (i.e. Luminohelix for light, Noctohelix for dark has been seen from my group)

Libra and Mord. Veritas is the JA

    Avatar

    Shiva's Rush

    Katana

    Blade: Ku

    Marksmanship

Numbing Shot, Slugshot (I believe they all can proc, just can not specifically remember them)

    Archery

Refulgent Arrow, Empyrean Arrow, Sidewinder, Dulling Shot, Hot shot, Blast Arrow

    Staff

Cataclysm, Heavy Swing, Rock Crusher, Sunburst, Full Swing

    Axe

    Rampage, Decimation, Raging Axe

    Club

    Flash Nova, Black Halo

    Sword

    Flat Blade

    Dagger

    Eviceration, Aeolean Edge, Energy Drain

I'll post more if I remember any.

10 minute ability getting "resisted" is bullshit, so if MV is a proc that would be awful, but if the message is coming up and it's not Libra, I don't see what else it could be besides MV.

Absorb spells (DEX, but this also will not work on Hahava for dark proc)

I would not be surprised if the full list of weapon skills for a particular weapon can be proc, because there aren't THAT many for each weapon. What I'm wondering more specifically is if, for instance, relic/mythic/empyrean WSes can be procs, but it's still worthwhile to go through this and check if every weapon skill can really be a proc or if the lists are more limited.

For magic spells, I find it hard to believe that any magic spell with the proper element can be a proc, but I guess it's not totally out of the question since Voidwatch is heavily biased towards rewarding larger groups vs. smaller ones. Perhaps we should limit the construction of the magic list to everything we've seen proc since the update (Monday 7/11) instead of before, since generally so much spell spam would be going on that it was very difficult to figure out the one that proc'ed without the name identified.

The spells, JA and WS I have listed are confirmed procs. Most of them have been re-procs of since the July update (except the ones I have noted that is not 100%).

The ones above are ones I have seen proc for the last 2 days.

I have a low man group (PLD SMN BRD RDM WHM SCH BLM BLU) Core group and helpers/mules (COR NIN WAR BLM RNG)

I am the BLM and NIN for proc so there is no overlap in who procs most of the time.

Prior to update, after proc, we reconfirm messages to see which has disappeared to ensure who proc'd what element.

    BLU

Mysterious Light, Hecatomb Wave, Ice Break (Last night)

Edit: I have never seen Vidohunir proc on Staff for my BLM.

Edit 2: BRD (Jomachines) in my group says Finale is proc, I remember Mord. Veritas proc because SCH (Gobbo) in my group was trying to proc SCH JA (it wasn't Libra) and once got Mord. Veritas to land and it proc.

Edit 3: Sandspin, Thermal Pulse, Corrosive Ooze, Magnetite Cloud, also procs from BLU (Subucni) since update.

That's a good idea. As someone who sorted through the Abyssea proc thread and pulled stuff out, I can tell you that you get a lot of bullshit reports that people are absolutely convinced of.

I've seen Catastrophy proc before. I'm hoping it was a fluke or something else proced at the same time as Cata. I was under the impression that any weaponskill can proc. We've esentially seen everything proc by now I think.

One thing to note are the tiered debuffs.

For instance, let us say slow 1 is a proc. But if your RDM casts Slow 2 first, then tries to proc Slow 1, it will not work. You have to wait for slow 2 to wear. This goes the same for paralyze, elegy, poison (I usually do poison 1 > 2, wait for wear, poisonga), blind (spell and Kurayami: Ichi and Ni). Blind spell is also bad, since if BLM or RDM blind lands, NIN blind does not work.

Poisonga is a proc. I will reconfirm Poison 1/2 when I see it again.

Addle is also a proc for RDM.

Edit: After tonight's run I will repost what procs were had from our runs.

Yeah, for magic, let's just stick with procs that we have seen since Monday and can confirm with the message in the chat log that attributes the proc to a specific player. This way we can come up with an accurate list faster.

Well partly because it could be really hard before now to tell what/who triggered the weakness proc. Typically several things fire off at once and you had to make a best guess as to what triggered it.

I think this is a full list of what COULD be the blue magic procs (i.e. the offensive magical blue magic spells associated with each element). Hopefully the actual list of procs is narrower than this, because it's a nightmare.
