I would really like to split off one of my POL accounts from my SE account, wish they had an option to do that
for linking multiple POL accounts to the same SE account, will that kill dualboxing? or should i make a SE account for every POL account?
I've had my alternate account tied to the same SE account for a while now. No issues whatsoever. You can make separate SE accounts if you like, but having them on the same account won't affect dual boxing in any way. The POLIDs are still considered separate within the account as far as logging into the game and even billing.
Has anyone that plays solely on ps2/3 or xbox tried to do this yet? I'm still hoping for a way around this nonsense.
Two questions:
Does Click and Buy give the option to automatically bill the account on a recurring monthly basis or do you have to log in each month to pay?
Can others confirm that there is a 3.9% service fee that click and buy assesses? I've read this three times now but I don't see it documented anywhere.
Well, the good news is that it sounds like you actually won't need a 3-D secure card anymore. If you buy Crysta with PayPal or something, you can use whatever credit-card/bank-account you have tied to that, and I know PayPal doesn't require any of those special security features to register a card.
So as annoying as it is now going to be to have to jump through a million hoops to give SE money, this does seem to actually help people like yourself to not have to worry about having a special credit card.
I'm not surprised if people quit over this. Restricting the ways people can pay doesn't seem sensible to me; nor does requiring customers to jump through extra hoops, be it by buying Crysta, or using another company with a less than stellar reputation. And consider: when something goes wrong with payment, who carries the blame? Before we could deal with SE directly, so that's very clear; but now we have to use a third party to hand over our money, which is only going to complicate matters.
It's not all bad, though. That I can buy Crysta through Paypal is a big plus. For those having 3D issues, could Paypal be a work-around for them? Though if they don't wanna use Crysta (can hardly blame anyone for that!) then it's a kick in the teeth.
They try to hide it but here:

section 17 under the For Customers -> ClickandBuy E-Money Account Terms of Use
Account Funding Fee This fee is payable where You pre-load Your Account using a Credit Card for later use. No fee is currently applied for any other methods of funding.
Direct debit: Free
Giropay: Free
Direct ebanking: Free
Online Money Transfer: Free
Credit card: 3.9%
And that's how it's set up for SE.
I currently pay for three accounts. Would I then have to set up three stupid fucking Crysta accounts or whatever the hell they call it in order to pay for those three accounts since they are on different SE IDs? If the answer is yes, then THAT is why I won't be returning. If I can pay all three using one Crysta account then I guess paying through paypal isn't a horrible option, aside from the fact that you still have to add Crysta in set amounts, essentially giving them money well ahead of time for a service you may or may not even use.
Apparently the service fee would be charged to SE, not to us. I had to dig through their policy section and found it, but it was under "Merchant" not under "End User." It also seems to be excluded from online gaming merchants.
COMMISSION FEE
The calculation of the Commission Fee is based on the total amount of Offer Charges and payments made by the Merchant (the Total Payment Volume) in a specific Billing Period. The commission fee applicable to the Merchant for payments made by End Users using ClickandBuy is:
2.9% of Total Payment Volume + € 0.35 per transaction
Commission accrues from each transaction made by End Users or Merchants of ClickandBuy. The Commission shall not be affected by any potential non-payment of bills by the End User or possible reimbursements by ClickandBuy to the End User for complaints, objections or exceptions by the End User directed towards the Merchant.
This commission fee does not apply to merchants from donation, dating, adult and online games industries.
There is a 5.9% currency exchange fee though, so I will definitely not use this service to bill my Korean CC >.>

Sorry, for some reason I thought this wasn't going to affect most accounts. I cannot just pay normally with a credit card anymore?
That fee is only if you put money into your C&B account before you send it to SE I think. If you send the money directly to SE via C&B, you don't have to pay that fee.Account Funding Fee This fee is payable where You pre-load Your Account using a Credit Card for later use. No fee is currently applied for any other methods of funding.
Direct debit: Free
Giropay: Free
Direct ebanking: Free
Online Money Transfer: Free
Credit card: 3.9%
tl;dr, do not pre-load your account if you use C&BPayment Fee
This fee is payable for processing certain payment transactions to or from Your Account.
Where you are pre-loading Your Account, the Account Funding Fee, not the Payment Fee, applies.
Direct debit: Free
Giropay: Free
Direct ebanking: Free
Online Money Transfer: Free
Credit card: Free
You add Crysta to each SE Account separately; so if you have three SE IDs, you have to go through the process three times, once for each ID. That's my understanding of it, anyway.
I agree, I don't like this, it's very cynical for them to offer Crysta in amounts which don't match up nicely to how much you pay; it's a terribly cruel money-grab imo. All this has done is make me even more curious about GW2 and TERA, and lose (trust in/respect for/desire to give my money to) SE.aside from the fact that you still have to add Crysta in set amounts, essentially giving them money well ahead of time for a service you may or may not even use.
[edit] you posted faster than me!
But I'm not so sure that you are correct. At least, people have been complaining about that transaction fee for a year now and SE never made a statement otherwise. I guess we'll have to wait and see when people actually get charged. (since people never were for 14)
