I don't wanna be "that" guy, but were torrent links still ok to post in threads? If not, then we should be pming right?
I had no idea of such a rule, if necessary I'll edit my post then.
Yeah, there's a cautionary banner stating not to post anything that would get the RIAA/MPAA's attention. Take it to PMs and you're safe. </fakemod>
Yes, I actually spent 5 minutes refreshing my browser until it came up.http://images.bluegartr.com/misc/phoenix_wright.jpgDon't post anything that could get the RIAA/MPAA's attention.
Finished 1.11 a few mins ago and just staring 2.22
the fuck didn't I watch these sooner in delicious bd
So a few questions:
I watched the series when it first came out and loved it, have done a few rewatches since. How are the movies? Are they the same story? What are the names even? I might look into getting the blu-rays if people say it's worth it.
Movies are definitely worth it, the first one (1.11 You are (Not) Alone) stay pretty true to the original series, just looking prettier and some different dialogue/actions here and there. The second movie (2.22 You can (Not) Advance) is very different, going as far as to add a new character/Eva unit, the ending is also radically different.
Both of the movies are much more action-packed than the original series at the cost of some character development however, which is a shame.
True, but it could be understandable if they are indeed sequels. Also, you should watch End of Evangelion first if you only saw the series before.
If you've only seen the series the order should be
Death and Rebirth (a refresher)The directors cut of Episodes 24-26 also qualify either before this or before EoE.
EoE
A 2 week break or rewatch the series to cleanse out the bad taste.
REbuild.
The original movies show what happens off screen during the final act of the series. They also add some events, and expound on others. The directors cuts of the show do this too, and each shows something unique.
Watch the 1.11 or 2.22 builds - not 1.00 or 2.00 or anything ending in zero. The movies got redone for bluray and the difference in quality is unbelievable. 1.00 is almost so dark its unwatchable for instance.
There's sometimes also a big difference in certain scenes between the .00 versions and blurays afair.
Correct order is:
* episodes 01-24
* first half of EoE
* episodes 25&26
* second half of EoE
* ReDeath
* Rebuild
Spoiler: show
Re: Disney Evangelion
That....that made more sense than the series. Lol.
I saw EoE and remember being like "WHAT THE FUCK" the entire time. Never heard of or seen the RE. I'll download the 1.11 and 2.22 now and give them a shot over the week.
you won't be disappointed.
OHHHH BABY lol fell out of my chair laughing.
2.22 is so much concentrated awesome that it should be illegal. I bought the blu-ray right when it came out and I left it sitting in my need to watch pile for a couple of months before finally getting around to it, partly out of fear that it would be some End of Evangelion level whatthefuckery. That was one of the biggest mistakes of my life...
^you don't have to start worrying about that until the fourth movie. Really gotta wonder if they are going to pull an EoE again, I am hoping Gainax doesn't stick to their usual tradition of worst ending possible.
2.22 is easily one of the best movies I have ever seen, it truly ranks up there. From start to finish, epic all the way. Make sure you use 7.1 surround if you can!
Also, I don't think anyone will see the last 30 minutes coming, not ever.
