    That would be way too elitist for SE.

    I'd be amused if it was Mime and it got an E in all stat ratings solo, but got the average of the party's when grouped up. And you had to use a JA to copy your party members' abilities one at a time (but the effects stay when you swap victims). And it could equip any non-job specific armour but it couldn't equip any Relics/Mythics/Empys/Adoulin Equivalents.

    It'd be pretty amusing, if your WHM dies in an event you could just jump into that party, "Essence Jack" them and take over. The polyfiller of jobs. Times are good, it's another damage dealer, times are bad, it changes.

Would be a nightmare to implement, considering its defining spell is haste. either they add a previous tier at lower levels, then normal haste, then a stronger one, plus aoe versions, plus everything else that defines the job and is also hard to implement correctly like stop, gravity spells, meteor, etc.

    Impossible, and that's from someone who's nickname derives from the job >_<

    I know that but it still doesn't stop me from wanting it. It's not like DNC is anything more than a sub job, SCH more than an Embrava whore, SMN more than a PD whore atm. You act like all the jobs in game are so specific and useful. Even RKN and GEO... please tell me how they are going to implement them in defining ways.

    I'd kill myself laughing if they somehow tried to implement Reset as a spell in XI. But yeah, Time Mage's defining spells are already divvied up among the jobs we have now. Slow(ga), Haste(ga), Gravity, Comet, Meteor, Regen, Teleport... and some would just be plain impossible; namely Reset & Quicken... all we're really left with is Float and Stop.

    Stop is Terror by another name and Float would be weird if it wasn't Movespeed+ and Evasion+ (movespeed in battle?)

    They can make time mage work. People never thought BLU would work before it was implemented everyone was like "PPL WILL JUST SPAM SPYKE FLAYL".


    Tiem Mage could be made to have some abilities and spells like:

    -JA that gives a potent fast cast
    -Addle I/Addle II
    -Gravity(Dark Damage based on the target's HP, basically much, much weaker versions of Zantetsuken/Ruinous Omen, long recast,cast,mp cost.
    -Hastega/Slowga/Haste II/Slow II
    -Traits that lengthen duration of buffs
    -A 10min JA that resets the duration of all the buffs currently on a target(includes embrava)
    -JA that resets duration on all the debuffs currently on a target.
    -DoT 'slips' spells
    -Bind II
    -Age(lowers all stats on a target, along with DoT. the -stats and dot start off weak but increases in potency over its duration, basically the opposite of a a burn/rasp/choke etc.

    So basically kill rdm and debase scholars dot niche?

    Time mage is completely unneccesary. The game is bloated with jobs half of which dont function in all events.

    SCH kind of ruined RDM's niche in a way. Nobody asked for SCH it was a niche that was filled fine by RDM and WHM and SMN to an extent, then along came SCH, gave BLM a run for its money and gave Regens which WHM excelled at and robbed RDM of its Phalanx II by making it AoE with Phalanx 1 and took rdm's enspells and made them AoE.

    not until the level cap was raised and some adjustments were made to SCH. pre level cap raise rdm was the battery job with refresh etc. The level cap raise destroyed rdm and I am glad for it. There was no need anymore for a battery job for MP, and thats actually good.

    Well rdm had already been being destroyed before then. But refresh alone kept it useful. Then when that stopped mattering as much people looked around and were like shit this job really does kinda suck at everything now

    "Consummate" is a synonym for "Perfect" so it's worth checking whether it functions similarly to Perfect Counter.

    i.e. Can Consummate Counter still counter even against mobs with Perfect Dodge active? Are Consummate Counters always critical? Does AF3 head increase their damage?

    So it doesn't even give 100% so you can fake-Invincible? That's 15% over the trait's hard cap, which is impressive, but eh. At least it's not tied to HF anymore. A lot of my complaints on these JAs got fixed when they just untied them. I'm even kind of hype for Imminent Strikes now that I can use it with MS. Mighty Imminent Strike Strikes will be awesome.
