It would be pretty pointless to re-buy it if you just bought and played the ps3/vita version. For people who haven't and want to play it without a lot of setup (plus trophies!), i don't see the problem with them releasing it on the PS4.

If we're gonna complain about legimate things, can we complain for a War of the Lions version that isn't saddled with crippling slowdown and loading issues? For all of the 5 copies of the original Tactics I've purchased across multiple platforms, I still won't play WotL because I can't sacrifice gameplay for prettier words and new content. Can we get a steam version or something? Jesus.

Get a PSP, stick CFW on it, and you're golden. Some details here.

Just get the iOS/Android version they patched it with no slowdowns and higher resolution sprites and shit, easily the best release and no hassel with software BS. Multiplayer items can be obtained with Gil too.

Also I don't think the 'better' translation in WotL is a bonus either, I quite enjoy the engrish of the original FFT.

There are Vita versions of FFX and FFX-2 but you have to buy those. They aren't crossbuy with the ps3 version.

Some PS3 games are crossbuy with other consoles. Generally PSN indie games though. I don't know of a single Triple AAA retail game that is. The problem with consoles is that after a console is over, you are tied to that console if you ever want to play them again.

All 3 versions (Vita/PS3/upcoming PS4) support cross-save functionality. You just have to buy the other versions first.

Offical website says "Cross-save" So does that mean i can convert my ps3 over to ps4? 32 gig save size is pretty redic for ffx.

Game save is not 32gig, thats the full game itself

What it means is you can upload the save file on the cloud and use it on PS4 But you have yo buy the full game and redownload it on PS4
