Biggest part of this episode: Zoey was awesome as ever this episode. Loved when Shaw was grilling Reese about his relationships with Zoey and Carter. They're doing an excellent job of keeping Shaw antisocial while having her connect with the group. She was great when they were getting ready to go to the club.

Root's storyline is getting more intriguing and I'm glad she's leaving the institution. I was worried she would be in there a long time, but how quickly she's getting out reminds me how Finch got returned a lot sooner than I was expecting last season. I really like about PoI is that they never dwell on a particular element for long and keeps pushing the story forward. I will say, I wish she killed the guy hunting her..

Also, was really happy that they referenced Carter's son. I was really getting convinced that he had been retconned into nonexistence as the episode was going on and he never came up, , but glad that got sorted out.

was really surprised that root didn't kill anyone, but if they're moving in the direction of having her as an asset i guess they need to show she can be reasoned with, even if it does require the voice of "god" to do the reasoning

I think the way they are writing Root is to be more of a Hand of God in her own eyes, shes been given a purpose and is controlled quite easily by the machine and will act as the machines physical presence in the world.

The woman at the end of last season who was giving Hersh his orders and seemed to be running the operation for relevant numbers. Back during season 1, Nathan said there were originally eight people who knew about the machine. I'm kinda interested to see how many of them get killed as the series continues. There was Finch, Ingrim, Alicia, Weeks (the guy who wanted to renegotiate the price and was then captured and killed by Root), Special Council (the guy who was killed at the end of last season), Control (presumably), and then two more who haven't been revealed. That's assuming of course that Control and Special Council have known about it from the start and aren't appointed officials.

Also, I've been re-watching Person of Interest from season 1 again, so good. Lots of Zoey.

For a random episode in the middle of the season, that was incredible.

I've decided I'm just going to stop trying to guess where this show is going. I was expecting Carter's partner to be this nagging presence throughout the season which would culminate in her saving him and redeeming him. Was so not expecting her to go completely badass on him and turn him into her bitch. And every second of it was glorious.

Also, never realized that Reese and Simmons had never met. I didn't think Reese would kill him, but I was really hoping for it. Was pretty satisfying to watch their fight.

And finally -- I'm finally getting the Root and Shaw spinoff I wanted, woooo!!! Next week needs to get here now, I'm so excited for it~
