Last season had 23 episodes; this is probably just the holiday break like most other shows. If it's following the same pattern, it should be back January 10th.

"yeah."

makes perfect sense to remove the battery if you dont want them listening

though i would agree with you on him being suspicious about carter, and possibly bugging carters phone.

You're all clearly overthinking it, carter was the arresting officer in the first episode & the case officer until they put it on hiatus. the FBI agent is interested again because the HR case is clearing up and a former FBI agent is now allegedly working with reese. taking the battery and sim out of the phone is a precautionary measure that their case isnt blown.

It just seemed very odd the way they did it. He could have told carter to, but instead he did and they emphasized it on screen. He seemed to be inspecting it more than deactivating it because she made a call 5 minutes later. Thus, an excuse to bug it.

What...

Did we watch the same episode? Just double checked, and all i see is him removing the battery and sim card. Carter watches him the entire time he's doing that.
