Love this parse (have its limitations like distance etc but oh well not your fault) I wonder though the saved log files in XML how can I "reparse" them? and it's a bit annoying when it resets the parser results when you leave a party (thats ususally when you get time to check it! love the new screenshot thing though!

I'm working on it not bugging with xml files (sometimes the chat has invalid xml characters).

Go into the logs/parsemod directory and copy the last logfile or latest one larger than 1k usually hehehe.

Paste it into the same folder as ParseModXIV.exe and than drag the file itself ONTO the exe. It will load and reparse.

If it doesn't look at the bugreport.txt file.

It will have a error like: invalid xml blah blah at line 23$@#$@ or a number. To fix it, open the xml in notepad++ and goto that line, deleting the entire line. save it, delete bug-report text file and drag/drop onto exe again.

I'm working on getting it fixed up to it automatically strips out any non standard txt. What I think I'll do is push an update where it only save to xml the actual lines that were parsed. That way it misses those bad ones.

The bad ones come from people using autotranslate or items like food. They sometimes have misformed characters or my search algorythm misses it

Anyway you could add an option to parse number of gathering attempts, and how many of each item you've collected?

If anyone is interested and play sin DE/JA/FR. Can you fight moogle or craft or do a whole bunch of stuff and log it with LogMod? It's on my site. Use a peice of food if you can :D

If I can get 2-3 fights worth of data I can make parsemod work for any language o.O

First make sure in Log Tools->Settings you have your first/last name and server. close and reopen. If your first/last name were already there, than it's possible your name is so close yo someone elses on the server when doing the search it can't find the proper pic

I had a friend named null null ^^; never did find him, if you want you can pm me your name and i can test it by changing it in my own parser and see if it pulls you while I'm playing. Other than that I'm not sure why it wouldn't pull the picture

When you goto lodestone does it find you and only you if you do search by world and character name?

    Example:
    http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...ull&cms=&cw=19

Never finds him as first result, since the chatlog doesn't match first result I think that could be issue.

Yeah man, thanks for the parser! Works great for me. It's really helping me improve my dps and my linkshell's dps too.

Hey icehunter testing out the parser with other people in my linkshell and we getting diff % of DPS and we test both your parser and other one and it seem like yours is always off by a few % like.

    Like for example

    Mine show : 18:564
    Friend show: 17:230
    friend2 show: 18:120

    Or something you see
20k someone else have 14k on the same person.

    Other parser:
    Show:19k

This is all looking at me and when i tell them there dps from my parser it off by 1k or 500.

Not sure if this is a bug or you know about it and trying to get it fix.

I've seen that happen if your too far away to even see it in your chatlog or if there's a bad character in memory it will skip that line. I'm working on sorting out the memory reader for that.

Which event were you in? I know in ifrit we are too far away sometimes so I see differences in ~1000 during that one.

the moogle instance is small enough that you always see every action by every player you should never have difference in total dmg inside moogle from different ppl running parse.

Now I don't know about icehunters parser but I have a friends parser that reads RAM like his and it does DPS based on when your first and last action are rather then when you start the parser. This does affect DPS a lot since 1 person could do 2-3 quick actions then stop or die and their dps never changes. I use a basic start the DPS clock when you click start and stop it on stop not based on individual actions just saying since I don't know how icehunter does it.

That would fall back to any memory reading errors ^^

First action starts the timer. Your dps is calculated based on that. So if you attack and 10 minutes later do another attack. It's total of 2 attacks into 10 minutes for dps

I could make it update in realtime even if your not attack thus you see it dropping. It current only updates when you hit something so you can see what your DPS was before death
