Well, I could say the same of Team EG and VVV and whatever else. Like I said earlier I don't know anybody who can name more than 1 of their sponsors. That's why I don't like teams in general. They are very middle man and kind of useless imo, at least in the FGC.

EG has a bunch of solid sponsors, I don't know what you're missing there, but EG gains a lot being in the FGC. Most importantly being they went after the best 2 USA players and a top 3 JP player just in case the FGC ever makes it huge, like on live TV. This will happen eventually. EVO is getting bigger and bigger every year, and CBS is interested in filming EVO2k13 already, along with MLG becoming larger and larger every year.

Once this happens, it will pay huge dividends for EG and its FGC team.

Teams try to sell the products they are sponsored by. I know of Steelseries and Samsung since you mentioned it. Has anybody in the FGC ever told you: "Yo, buy this Samsung monitor! That's an EG sponsor!"? Probably not. They might say "wow team EG is so good", but that's still just the name of a middleman, a manager if you will. A manager isn't a product. The name "EG" gains a lot, yes, just not their sponsors.

EG's sponsors are only solid as far as their PC divisions are concerned. FGC-wise? Not at all. Are you really going to go out there and pick up an Intel motherboard or proc and then tweet Justin how much you love his dick because you bought that just to support him? Get real.

The only way I'd eat these words is if Samsung suddenly came up with a lagless HD display for gaming. Which I would be absolutely be happy to do. Otherwise, it's just hard to get something going when you already have the big players themselves (MadCatz, Brokentier, etc) getting into the mix.

If the FGC makes it big, and EG has the best 2 American players, they will get a ton more non-PC related sponsors, which is what I was just saying. I guess I have to spell it out plain as day. They aren't doing it for fun, and the people running it are the most successful in America at it. They know what they are doing. Sponsors, at first, will ONLY be interested in who has Justin and Daigo. Also, having a gay player who happens to be 2nd best, one of the JP gods for the asian market, and the most popular female SF player only helps their situation 10-fold.

Floe is only along for the ride because Justin said it was him + me or no one. There is 0 chance they sponsor Floe if they don't benefit immensely from having Justin.

Him living in NYC without a job and then Pasadena without a job does agree with him having a trust fund. Money has to come from somewhere to buy food, clothing, housing, and a girlfriend.

Him having money to begin with to start a gambling debt does agree with him having a trust fund. If it was actually large, he would be dead by now or severely beaten; you don't escape by then becoming extremely popular and broadcasting from your bedroom to the world.

also this is why legitimate esports and FGC will never work, the majority of top players aren't willing to actually uphold the responsibilities that come with being a 'proffessional', like interviews, appearances, and being a billboard for their sponsor.
