What? EVO doesn't give a shit about infinites. Unless they outright ban a character (Akuma in ST, for example) then everything goes. Some glitches that completely lock up a game are almost universally banned, but an infinite is just how the game that has it will be played.

As for the infinite, I doubt this will have any effect during EVO. People can't even perform optimal comboes. Maybe half a year from now people will get this down 100%, but not next week.

By then Capcom will probably have it patched anyway.

Wow, I have never paid to upgrade a stream before, because I honestly don't need 720p+ to know what a j.fierce looks like. However, when I read this bit from the article about the Evo scholarship I was instantly swayed to drop some dollars on the stream.

To highlight this and pay-it-forward to the next generation of gamers, we are announcing an annual $10,000 scholarship for a student enrolled at an accredited university studying towards a degree in game design, game development, or computer science.

The scholarship will be initially financed by the Evo 2012 pay-for-view hd stream. All pay-for-view profits will go into the Evo Scholarship fund. I believe in it this so strongly that I’m going to personally guarantee the $10,000 scholarship. If the HD stream is successful, it will cover the costs. If not, I will pay the scholarship out of my pocket.

EDIT: Obviously, I'd rather be able to go to another Evo, but saving money to move back to Korea next year is a higher priority.

Got my Fusion in tonight, am all set for EVO now. Haven't gotten to much time to play with it, just got my Link installed and octo gate swapped in but it feels real nice so far.

Went to fight night and blew up a ton of people. I'M READY. DreamTR like I said has Momochi first round...and he had a 113 game win streak tonight with Hakan. Shit will be so epic if he can manage a Hakan upset first round.

Hakan's actually not even all that terrible in 2012 imo, we have a solid Hakan player around us too and he has some tricky shit. Plus even if you lose, tricking someone into jumping onto U2 is winning on the inside.
