People are dicks and F2P = more to gank in newbie zones. You can get a buff from the newbie NPC that prevents people x levels higher than you from killing you if it's a huge problem.

Its a game that you're either gonna hate or love.

I've been playing since launch on/off so I'm used to the annoyances. For me though (playing with close friends) its always been a blast. Grind or not.

They opened up a 2nd new server, and playing on that has actually not been as much of a headache as the other servers. Sadly, as least for leveling purposes, this is not the L2 I used to love ㅠㅠ Hopefully they pull back a bit on the "kill a few enemies, talk to dude, get a free level and a half" approach after the 2nd class change.

Get to 43 and then you're back to "old" L2.

I really don't understand NCSoft's mentality where they make games which are casual as shit to a point (Aion I'm looking at you). Then they go back to their old grinding style halfway through the game.

It's almost like they just half assed designing the "awakening path/quest line". I'd love to know who thought it would be a great idea 1-43 to follow quests only receiving tons of EXP for fetchshit.

THEN you get 43 and the game does a complete 360. "Here's a daily quest, now go grind 50925801589 mobs for some garbage item reward and no EXP reward.

TL;DR

Lv. 1-43 in 4-5 hours.

Lv. 43-XX in 10 years solo, 5 years in a group.

NCSoft is retarded as usual.
