If they did the Dinobots, it'd be really hard to fuck up. Thankfully there is next to none human involvement with them.

At the end, ya.

http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/2/13...rs-reboot.htmlMichael Bay is set to return as director of Transformers 4! Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura confirmed the 2014 release date and reveals that Bay will return to direct a "reboot" of sorts of the franchise.
Here is what Bonaventura had to say:
He also responded to the rumors about Jason Statham's involvement:Michael's going to direct it and it will be in the summer of 2014. He's a cool customer, he's excited and I think the challenge there is that we are really are going to do a reboot and what that's going to be we don't even know yet.
He went on to say,No, it's so silly. We've got to get a story first.
It's a hybrid. I'm not involved with Spider-Man, but what I perceive Spider-Man to be is a redoing of the whole thing. It's [Transformers] not. It's an evolution, there's still continuity that's going on and yet there will be a lot of new cast and whether there will be anyone from the old cast we don't even know yet. It's going to be a whole new story. The characters who will come along will be Optimus and Bumblebee I'm sure.

since when transformers were cyborg?
the details of the next cyborg saga are being kept secret,
Yeeeeeah... After part 2 and 3, there's little hope that this asshole can reboot this series and do it justice. He clearly doesn't give a shit what the fans want.
No. Just no.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I think my Prince image below sums up my reaction quite well.

http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/2/17...rs-rumors.htmlJosh Duhamel, who has starred in all three Transformers films, says that not only will he not return for the recently announced Transformers 4 but to not expect anyone else to either.
Talking to E! Online, Duhamel said,
Rumors have abounded that the films will be set in the same universe, but focus on different characters. The Transformers themselves will return. Regardless of Duhamel's comments, Michael Bay isn't focusing on Transformers 4 right now. He's about to start work on his first original film in nearly a decade, Pain & Gain, starring Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg. Once Bay finishes Pain & Gain, then he will start to piece together Transformers 4.I don't think anybody's doing it. I know Shia [LaBeouf]'s not doing it, I don't think Tyrese or Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] or anybody else is doing it. Whenever these movies make that much money they're going to make as many as they can. [But] I haven't heard anything about it. They haven't called me.

http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/2/16...ss-comedy.htmlMy biggest issues with the Transformers franchise to date have been the the story and the characters. I personally think all of the silly characters that were added to the films need to be cut. It looks as though I am not alone. Badass Digest is reporting that Transformers 4 will actually be a sequel, not a reboot or re-imagining. At this time it is not know from whose point of view the story will be told, but it will definitley not be Witwicky's. It is not clear if any of the original human cast will return for this installment.
Here is what an insider close to the project had to say:
Transformers 4 is still over a year off, with the script still in the development phase. It will be interesting to see if these details actually stay the same when the cameras stars rolling."Michael realized it needs to be more like the last hour [of Dark of the Moon]," this source told me. So expect lots of big action, lots of carnage, lots of military badasses, very few silly bits.
Badass Digest shared some speculations from an insider:
I feel like Transformers 4 could be the movie where they finally make the robots the center of the story. Rather than having the robots as sidekicks to whatever Sam is going through, the film could well finally place them right in the middle, with their character beats fueling the narrative. The 'narrative.' That would at least give fans something closer to what they want - people come to a Transformers movie to see what Optimus Prime et al are doing, not to find out how Sam Witwicky's job search is going.

Good news? Ill take it
It only took them three movies to find out that a movie called Transformers is all about...*gasp* the Transformers. Not the human sidekicks.
/angry
oh no I'm sure we will get new annoying sidekicks.
Yeah, I have no faith that they'll fix things in the fourth one.
So the title gonna read... TRANS4MERS?
http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/6/6/...up-future.htmlMichael Bay is currently preparing to direct his fourth Transformers film for Paramount Pictures. This comes after he said Transformers: Dark of the Moon would be his last. It's hard to imagine anyone else doing it because we're all so used to Bay's style, but I wouldn't mind seeing someone else take over the franchise, because unsurprisingly, Transformers 4 wont be the last Transformers film we see.
The LA Times recently did an in-depth article on Transformers: The Ride, and new 3D theme park attraction that just opened up at Universal Studios. In the article they throw in a little blurb about Transformers 4, and how it will really be Michael Bays last film in the franchise, and that it will set up the future films that will be made.
There’s plenty more Transformer action to come with a major new video game release, “Transformers: Fall of Cybertron,” due in August and another Bay movie in the works. (The director, by the way, says that the fourth film will include some redesign of the robots and an entirely new cast. He also said it will be his last and set the franchise up “for the next guy.”)

http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/9/13...haracters.htmlMichael Bay is prepping to bring us a fourth Transformers movie that will set up the franchise for a whole new set of films. It was recently revealed that the plan for part 4 is to completely revamp the Transformer designs and make the robots the main attraction. Today we've learned that there will also be a whole new cast of robot characters.
The news comes from President and Chief Executive Officer of Hasbro, Brian Goldner, who says that Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon did well at the box office, but Hasbro didn't sell many toys, and their main business is selling toys. Goldner explains,
They obviously feel that if they introduce new characters they will sell more toys. I don't think that's really issue though. I just think they need to start making quality toys, because those Transformers toys they've been selling are cheaply built, and break easy. Why do parents want to buy therir kids toys that break easy? They don't make them like they used to. Here's what Bay had to say about Transformers 4 in a previous interview,This is why Transformers 4 will have a new cast of [robot] characters, and it will be a story revolving around these new characters.
When asked if he was thinking of taking the story into space, Bay replied,It’s not a reboot, that’s maybe the wrong word. I don’t want to say reboot because then people will think we’re doing a Spider-Man and starting from the beginning. We’re not. We’re taking the story that you’ve seen — the story we’ve told in three movies already — and we’re taking it in a new direction. But we’re leaving those three as the history. It all still counts. I met with the writer before I went off to do ‘Pain and Gain’ and we talked about a bunch of ideas. We let that simmer for a bit. He’s been thinking about stuff and now we’re getting back together next week to see what we’ve got and to see if it gels.
Ehren Kruger is currently writing the screenplay, and Paramount Pictures is planning to release it on June 27th, 2014.I think so, yeah, a little. That feels like the way to go, doesn’t it? I want to go a little off but I don’t want to go too sci-fi. I still want to keep it grounded. That’s what works in these movies, that’s what makes it accessible.
