Supposedly it will be explained in future issues including Thanos and just what the hell happened to the real Nova.

MAA: They announced on twitter a big new character reveal coming up soon but no word yet who the character is. Taking the SE approach of making an announcement to watch for the announcement.

Having read thru GotG .1 twice now, I can understand the hatred for Bendis, since this is the first he's touched a property I honestly care about. I'll hold full judgement until the series really starts, but watching Bendis shit all over Starlord was making my blood boil as I read it.

how did he shit all over Star-Lord? His origin is basically the same, except for having an alien father. It is really a minor change. Everything else that happened in his past already appeared in the comics.

He always had an alien father. I was mostly referring to his personality, his new found Badoon hatred, stuff like that. His whole character felt wrong. I realize grown up Quill was only in a small portion, but it felt completely off.

I should have been more clear. In the original telling of his origin, the guy that was with his mom was not his father. I don't recall him having an alien father. According to wiki, he hunt down and killed the aliens that killed his mom. It doesn't specify they were Badoon, but I guess the are now. I'd prolly hate Badoon too if they killed my family.

Yeah it been a rumored spec ops for a while. They usually had it linked to Vision though but he might be the Magneto of this spec ops possibly if they continue with the lockboxes.

Hoping they don't do that. They did say the Magneto lockboxes aren't going away though. I am wondering if they will have different flavors of lockboxes that you can purchase.

I havent read it yet, my store wont have it till next week(fuck you diamond) but every review I have read said its amazing.

I enjoyed GotG .1 but I'm not heavily invested in the character. I enjoyed DnA's run though. (I want Cosmo to show up.)
Young Avengers was good.
I also really enjoy Avengers Arena and want more of it out so I can find out what happens.
