Resident Evil 6 (10.02.12) | Switch Edition - 2019

Prior to RE4, I generally found myself most engrossed with RE2, and thought some of the scenes in that game were absolutely terrifying (mind you I was 14 at the time). Personally don't mind the route RE has taken, because I just loved RE4's gameplay, but 5's dumb AI partner was a turn-off. Hoping there's non of that nonsense in 6.

Day 0 buy for me. Leon and Chris Super A-OK. Loved the trailer.

Hopefully there will be tons of DLC or expansion gold/platinum packs that let you revert Leon and Chris back to their teen years and furnish them all emo-ish with sparkly vampire looks!

Only game that ever creeped me out was the original Clock Tower. Even the first Resident Evil only had one oh shit moment for me(hell hounds through window like everyone else.) I buy the series now because I love the fact that it's a horror survival action game. Call it brand loyalty, but I've never played a Resident Evil game I didn't enjoy.

You know, I was hoping they would go the Lost in Nightmares route with RE6. With the survival horror element back in mixed with action. It looks cool but 2 RE pure action games in the same year? I guess. I'm def gonna buy it being a RE fan since 1, but where is Clair? Where is Jill? Le sigh

Leon and Chris in the same game? Hunnigan's got Leon's back again, and where Leon is Ada can't be far behind. Jill's part of the BSAA and we can almost guarantee Wesker will be back despite his death (#2 or 3 now?).

This is gonna be fucking solid. I don't know how they'll be able to make Wesker cooler than his RE5 incarnation though.

If this actually takes place 10 years after Raccoon City it's in 2008. That means RE5 still hasn't happened so Jill is MIA and Wesker is busy playing with her. Ada was confirmed by IGN. She also has an unlockable storyline like in RE4.

Oh, my bad. I thought RE5 took place in 2008 so this would be right after. But you're right, this is actually just before RE5, which is kinda dumb that its a mid-quel. That means Sheva for sure ain't gonna show up

Eh, I still hope I'm wrong. I think they used the "10 years after RC incident" line in RE5 as well even if it takes place in 2009. I'd love a game with Chris, Leon and Jill in it. Besides I don't want this mess to happen before 5, I'm pretty sure the president turning into a zombie and 3 outbreaks taking place in different parts of the world would be worth mentioning in RE5. It'd be a huge retcon and I hope that's not the case.
