I just finished the Oerba 200AF boss, and I'm assuming it has to be a later boss or another one. It's not

Steamrolled him if that's the case; I didn't even notice he had regen. Hopefully we are, since that will mean I didn't totally botch my Crystarium to the point of unsalvageable.

Random (and probably stupid) question but I don't have much experience with this kind of thing:

I have my copy of FFXIII-2 that I got from Amazon pre-order and I finally have some time to start it today (woo!). I haven't redeemed my Omega code yet and the long ass PSN maintenance is going on today so I can't redeem it until tomorrow. Can I start playing and redeem it later and still have it in my game? Or do I have to start my game after I redeem the code?

Yeah you should be fine redeeming it later.

You get access to the intro after you get the secret ending iirc.

Faeryl was a crazy fight. (dragon in Archylte Steppe sucking up flan)

I think my Gremlin is the strongest person on my team lol. lv23 with 327magic and magic+16%. My Serah mage has 180magic and my Noel who is almost all only COM has 178 attack
and now my Gremlin is lv30 with 540magic

aaaand the giant Cactaur is not as fun to fight...

Finally got my Blue Chocobo RAV, Silver one GLD, and Kitchu. Gonna work on lvling them all the way now.

That oerba boss, Serah SAB poison + a sentinel goes a long way iirc. If not for that, ull benefit from it in a later fight.

@ratapata I think ure about halfway thru. Augusta Tower to me was the halfway point. The following areas are either very story driven or require you to explore. By right it could take a lot of time but if you know where to go then it could be over really quickly. Also the dungeons from that point are considerably longer than before.

You unlocked the wrong gate to progress in the story. Do the quests in snow bresha, you can get a wild artefact from there and use it to progress

Edit: the guidebook actually gives pretty good insights about monster leveling.
If you put in potent or vitality for cait sith all the way till lv99, it's HP will well exceed pretty much every other MED. however flanitor is the most well rounded MED for the main game and is worth using/leveling for both esunada and Hyper rescue, which is like the only purely healing feral link

I went to arachylte steppe(sp?) and found a red chocobo. Put a punch of power nodes in to him and fell in love. Dude 1-shots everything.
