Yeah they work for the lower level armors. It just bugs me that they won't for the new ones.

Ah, sorry didn't realize you were talking about the newer armors. Give it time, I'm sure they will show up. Probably will be on that website eventually.
Any word on the newer armor's yet?
Oh and heya everyone, Tera online is what prompted me to join your community) Nice to meet all of you.
Mods were updated:
These mods are now up to date:
Human v1.1
Elin v1.3
Castnic v1.2
High-Elf v1.2
Korean Voices v1.1
Will soon be up:
Korean Cinematic and Cutscenes v1.1
Japanese Cinematic and Cutscenes v1.1
Japanese Voices v1.1
Woot! Hope the updated ones fix the cloth armor bugs and the mixed up armor files.
Now my Elin can be slutty like everyone else! (Only because I can't stand the clipping, way too shiney, undyeable(for the most part), low quality "edits".)
oh so you have to go to his forums
Not that I'm aware of. It's a blog on blogspot. Although the link above links directly to the post about him updating, if you go back to the main blog area you should see all of the posts with the mods there. Here: http://tera-mods.blogspot.com/
Or am I misunderstanding?
There's a Mediafire link in each of the respective updates; he didn't add a new post when he updated the file versions, he just edited the old posts that were originally made months ago.
Are these updates up to date for launch? Because he otherwise never removed the disclaimer that says they aren't
Dunno, but, no reason not to use them, so long as you have the originals backed up. Hats and QoA Part 1 armor are the only things to really update, so it seems likely they would be up to date, as you say.
Surprised there are still no nude or underwear mods available yet, the underwear models are in the game already so would seem like just a dat swap for base armor was needed?
That sucks, is this a file system used for Tera exclusively or is it something used for a lot of games that has never been figured out? Wouldn't be happy if we never get mods in Tera due to this. :/ I guess it would make sense they would not want people to do this though, since they have a cosmetic cash shop and all.Unfortunately that "just a dat swap" is not that simple. The game doesn't use .dat files, it uses .gpk libraries which are quasi-encrypted. We can extract a mesh or animation from those libraries, but nobody has yet to find a way to compress it back into the library.
I did some reasarch on the .gpk system a while ago. Apparently is a compression system that helps reduce load and save times on your PC. I don't remember the company that makes the software that performs this, but I have noticed a few games that use the Unreal Engine also have the same system. The problem is, the one that TERA uses is unique to TERA. I guess BHS is allowed to modify the system to their needs in some ways, which makes previous decoded .gpk systems unusable. Basically, someone will have to reverse engineer the compression system before we can start implementing our mods into the game.
Do the mods he released the other day work for retail?
The 1.3 mods? Yeah. Apparently some are having some weird issues with riding their lions, but I don't have the issue and I see their characters just fine. Not sure what it is screwing it up for some but not others.
