I think so -- makes sense together with what Byrth said regarding them swapping the lamps around with dummy npcs. Still pretty hilarious to see random elvaan named dummy standing in the corner. I'm guessing it was supposed to be flagged as one of those invisible NPCs and wasn't.

Hmmm the last time I saw Dummy it was a Tarutaru iirc.

Can someone post the .dats they use for the lamps? I tried editing them in notepad++, but the show up as "NPC" instead of how I labelled them. I'm guessing I'm missing something with the dat mods

It's not spellcast and iirc they are called dummies now not that you need to know what they are called since people have provided the changes needed for you

Your best bet would be MNK (damage output, but not being able to use Powder Boots is big disadvantage) or DNC (able to use Powder Boots but low-medicore damage output), but, to be honest you would have to really impress the leader with your Shijin Spiral or Exenterator set (and at lest a set of STR magian weapons). Not having E/R/M is not as big of an issue as not being 2-hander AND not being able to use Powder Boots.
If you get an invite, the leader either accepts to carry you through this event or they got no clue what they’re doing.
Since you have WHM levelled, your best bet might be Abyssea-burning SCH and assembling a 400-500 Enhancing Skill set.
There are some threads on the official forums about fixing Nuzul, could take your complaint there if you don’t get invited.

Just find people who are botting and tag along with them, you can do the event with 2DD's 2 gimps and 2SCH's really easy.

In a realistic situation, if you actually want to get into a group that wins semi-regularly, you should level SCH. SCH is in high demand and it's really hard to fuck up. Also nothing in relation to enhanced movement speed pertains to botting.

Paying for free features is cool too. Also considering your post was obviously in relation to movement speed and/or maint mode, I'm gonna go with there being no talk of bots involved
